An AGM battery should be completely unnecessary on the Hybrid, since the increased cranking power is not used on a vehicle with no 12V starter. However, it does delay the dreaded sulfation death due to the bad BMS issue. It does not solve it, but only delays it. At twice the price and with the easy swap in the back seat, that's a pretty hard sell, and the 2025 models that got the AGM as the factory battery are now starting to see the same sulfation issue popping up as they get a bit older.I’m not quite sure why all the hybrid owners say the AGM batteries are the be all end all! I have a 24 EcoBoost with the AGM bat, and have had problems. I still have to charge it up fully and don’t understand why! Even when I go to the dealer they put it on the charger while doing other work! Why I ask, just because they say. And people on the MTC wonder why some of us get”upset” because of sh\T that should not happen!!! Ah well, it’s a cheap mini-truck!
