It's a kit offered by Smyth Kit Cars, my donor car was a Jetta TDI. They have the kit available for a bunch of vehicles - VW Beetle, Dodge Charger, Audi A4/S4, Subaru Impreza, and Jeep Grand Cherokee. My signature on the left has a link to my Google album of the build process.

I did the project 6 years ago. Couldn't buy a small truck at that time so I had to make my own.

Looks like your donor Jetta was grafed onto a previous generation Saveiro (produced in Brazil). They are vey common throuhout Central America and Mexico.
