Just took delivery! There is a 3 1/2 inch gap between the back end of the Maverick hood and the windshield. In that ‘hole’ are the cabin air intakes and windshield spray nozzles. Being in the north country, that looks like a place where snow and leaves will settle and compress.
Anyone have experience with this?

But why? Sure enough that ‘chamber’ filled with leaves from my oak trees. A bit of rain, then a freeze blocks everything.

Because it is aerodynamic to have the wipers below the surface of the hood. Improves gas mileage.

Good thing the trees only drop their leaves once a year. I'm fishing leaves out of there daily when they do.
