Please recommend a portable CD player for the Maverick

I miss my CD player! I would like to buy a portable CD player that can connect to the Maverick by BlueTooth or USB.

Has anyone else done this successfully?

Maybe this? Given CD players and bluetooth didn't have a ton of overlap, you aren't going to find any quality named brands. It'll all just be a shot in the dark on if it works.

I'll just dig out my 2003 portable CD player that also plays MP3 discs and can show file titles on the screen with an Aux cord.....

I cannot imagine a scenario in modern times where you would spontaneously have a new CD you want to listen to. Just convert your CD library to MP3s and put them all on a flash drive. Stick the flash drive in the usb port and pick the album you want to listen to.

In a previous thread some folks had luck with an unbranded USB CD player from eBay. The original listing ended mentioned but there appears to be a newer version from the same seller: https://www.ebay.com/itm/294180325326 A few other sellers still listing the old version (but they also show pictures of that new one? Who knows).

Remember all the vibration-induced troubles CD players brought? Do yourself a big favor to rip your favorite CDs to mp3 and load them to a USD driver.

Being a 71 year old even I have converted all my cd to digital and put them on two jump driveskinda nice to just leave it in the truck and all the music you own and you know it’s all good.

No I don't remember that at all. All of my other vehicles have CD players and they all work great.

I installed one in my Maverick, it works great, I bought it on the Bay & these are often listed as version 1 or 2, I got version 1 & it works. Mounted under the HVAC controls with velcro & plugged it into the USB.

I had one of these for my f150 and it worked ok. then I bought a stereo system on Eaby "boytone" cheap too, ( or it was 2 years ago) small unit that will ( home unit) play cds-cassettes-records - and am/fm It will record any of these onto ( I call it a stick) usb stick. I order them too on ebay in bulk and record my cds to it , and plug it in the radio, even my old 2014 grand caravan has the place to plug them and I play them that way.dose the maverick radio have a place to plug usb in? hope so, as we are still waiting on ours we ordered.

Come on, people. If OP wants a CD player, let him have a CD player. Doesn't impact your truck driving experience.

But as I said in my original response, a bluetooth CD player is likely to be an el cheapo brand. So, don't expect too much beyond its ability to play CDs.

Someone on Facebook mention Toogoo at Walmart had a Portable CD player that works in the Maverick for $85. Can be taped to the front of the console.
