That is the same dash my MY23 has.
yep. looks the same to me. if it seems more shiny, it could be a detailing product they used. I'm 99.999% sure it is the same dash.

The chances of Ford improving their interiors on the cheapest vehicle they sell during an inflationary period where their costs are rising are zero.

I've had my XL for almost 3k miles and there are no scratches in that area at all. None.
The XL is so cheap you can't even scratch it! :)

Not sure why OP chose the dash as a scratchable area - nobody should have scratches up there.

I take extremely good care of my Maverick. Wipe down the interior at least once a week with a clean, warm/damp microfiber cloth and vaccum.

99.9995% of Maverick owners have scratches on the plastic on the drivers (and likely passengers) seat cushion plastic:

EDIT: I wear athletic shorts, golf shorts, golf pants, hiking pants and on super rare occasion a pair of chinos - all soft materials that shouldn't cause those. It's just a Ford way of life.

And I would assume a very similar percentage have them on the center console:

joking aside (and I did laugh), I assume he takes his seatbelt off much more carefully than I do.

or he doesn't wear it?:LOL:

Of course I wear a seatbelt. You'd be an idiot to not wear one. Apparently, I'm just more careful with my vehicle than you are.

It's not just Ford. My Toyota Sienna has the same sort of scratches around all of the pillars under the seat belts.

I sometimes drive a Ford Explorer. Usually the cars have over 100000 miles. There are very few scratches on the interior. Ford uses better materials on other cars. My Ford Maverick, gets scratches by just looking at it.

Just got my 24 Lariat three days ago. Impressed with the interior. What product do you use on the plastic?

There's actually some truth to the dash scratching. I have three on mine and just like you, I take incredibly good care of my Maverick. I detail everything with 303 Aerospace Protectant every two-three weeks, vacuum with a brush attachment/crevice tool and I even have a dusting brush. But unfortunately, there's no saving grace in this interior. The portion of the dash the OP photographed I have a vertical scratch on that was caused by my sunshade just lightly rubbing against it. Same goes for my gauge cluster hood. There is no give to these plastics. The other one is on the passenger side that was caused by the airbag recall. They must've made contact with the dash and left a noticeable scratch that I try to buff out as much as possible but it's a lost cause.

I unlatch the belt, guide it over my shoulder and let go, and this simple process results in scratches.. I doubt they expect everyone to hold it while it retracts, and in vehicles with better materials, there's no damage caused.
