But will a regular, full size wheel and tire fit in the holder for the spare? And if I bought a truck without the spare, would it still have the holder for the tire?
It will not fit, which is why Ford doesn't offer it as an option. There are multiple topics in this forum where people show the modifications they made to get a full-size spare to fit.

I don't know if it comes with the holder or not, but I doubt it.

If it's from the factory, it is not truly full size.
I’ll look closer, thanks.
I need to drop it anyway and top it off.

Yes, a regular full size 225/65/17 will fit. I have one right now in the spare space under the bed for my 2023 Hybrid without needing any modification. I removed the Douglas 215/60/17 wheel that came with the truck.

Sounds like an XL with AWD and 4k tow package would be perfect for you. The nice thing is all the Mavericks starting in 2025 now have the same infotainment systems.

Great forum so first of all, thanks. I plan to get a Maverick before July 4 for the “employee pricing”. It will probably be a fairly basic hybrid, AWD, maybe a trailer hitch and not much else. Seems this will come in around $32,000, which sounds like a pretty good deal.

Unless there is something else I really need to get? Please tell me now, before I order it. Thanks.
See how much more to upgrade to an XLT, you get so much more for on a XLT it's worth the cost.
