Picking up dry cleaning is annoying

For the life of me I can't figure out what is different when hanging dry cleaning on drivers side rear passenger grab handle.

The Hangers slide forward and back while driving, but can't remember this happening on any other vehicle I've driven in decades. Maverick grab are smooth rectangles (grab part) and I don't remember if past vehicles had finger grooves or any grooves. Maybe it's the smooth plastic but don't remember any other vehicles not being smooth plastic.

I know it's stupid, just a slight annoyance but the sound of them moving forward and back is grating while on the way back home. Dry cleaning will slide off the back seat or passenger seat and if I put in the bed it would be a mess when I arrived home.

Anyone else noticed this and has a solution for this sliding? Another Ford vehicle grab handle shaped differently? Is there a hook that will snap onto these?

Wrap a piece of Gorilla tape around the handle. Problem solved.

You could "thread" one of these coiled shoe laces around the handle to provide ridges for the hangers sit in, you even have a choice of colors.

When my great-aunt passed away 40 years ago, we found wire hangers she wrapped in IV tubing. They hold up great, and clothes don't slide off them - I still use a couple of them today. The child of the Great Depression knew how to save money (though don't ask about the drawers full of pockets cut out from pants - I don't know what she planned to do with those). Those hangers would probably sit on your handholds without sliding around and making noise.

Wrap the handle, or wrap the hangers, but if it really bothers you there are cheap options out there. They may not be pretty, though.

wrap a couple of rubber bands on the hand holds and it will stop them from sliding

It took me 16 months to pick up dry cleaning but I finally noticed and used those hooks today. Nice feature.

Never worked in a professional position that required me to utilize the service of a dry cleaner. I was of a pressure washer type worker before retiring. Build date 3/11/24. Can’t wait!

Thanks for the idea. I am now hanging 70% of my clothes on piece of EMT attached to fence corner and using pressure washer. Slight issue with bird poop but fire ants haven't found clothes yet.

I want to know why there isn't a dedicate clothes hook like normal cars

I have hooks on each side.
