"Phantom Texts" I cannot be the only one who gets these.

Almost everyday a text pops up on my infotainment system. It appears to be an actual text from someone that I know, and I have in my contacts.

However.... I check my phone and there was no text from anyone. It's just something that pops up on the truck's screen.

Does anyone else experience this? Is there a way to make it stop? It's just kind of irritating. Thoughts?

They could be old texts coming from, or the Truck is acknowledging the messages and they show as "read" in your phone.

Did the contact actually send the text?
- maybe your Maverick deletes the text from everywhere after displaying?

Is the contact still alive?
- if not, maybe your Maverick has supernatural powers?

Did the contact not send you a text?
- probably a “phishing” scheme?

Are these people by chance reacting (, , etc) to your texts? I've had this where it pops up on the screen that I got a text from someone, but it turns out it's just them liking my message. I guess it triggers the notification on the Ford screen.

I agree it’s probably someone giving a thumbs up on your texts.
It’s not your truck. You are the first person to inquire about this that I know of. It is confusing though.

If you have an iPhone, check for spam messages in the messaging app on the phone. I’ve had messages pop up on my CarPlay screen and later found them in the spam section of messages.

I've also had this happen with Android Auto. Samsung phone user here.
