Parking brake on all 4 wheels

Xmas night I am driving around my town looking at all the decorations, roads are covered in hardpack snow & ice, we have many dead end streets with a turnaround at the end I wanted to see if the Maverick reacted like all my other FWD cars, ( there was no traffic or other vehicles on the road) a little gas & engage parking brake & the rear end slides around quickly, it did not do this, it stopped quickly & straight, & I thought that felt like the front wheels too, & repeated the test 3 times & it reacted the same each time, all 4 wheels engaged, I don't know if it this is designed for when you are moving & you might be using it as an emergency brake or if it engages all 4 when parked too.

maybe because of FWD with electric e-brake & 4-wheel ABS?
