trying to understand this all. The timeframe from when you order from when your build is scheduled for production, that’s the timeframe that there seems to be builds that sit for months? And it all seems up to chance? As I think I saw a few people order in January and get scheduled the following week?
I think you may be getting scheduled and when produced a little confused. This next Thursday emails will be for the production week of March 21st. The production schedule for any weeks prior to that have already been filled during previous weeks. And not all of the orders filled will be produced on the 21st, it can be anytime during that production week. And even orders pulled for that production week can be delayed. Prior to the holidays, Ford was not projecting production weeks as far out as 2 months, therefore some orders were having slightly quicker turn around times.

Yep you got it. Waiting to be scheduled and waiting for delivery are the two things that take the longest to complete. Ordering and being built are usually the two quickest.

Nobody really knows what black voodoo magic Ford uses to schedule orders for production but it's frustrating af to say the least.

thanks. Hopefully I can order one and then just forget about it for a few months 😅 but probably not… I’ll just obsessively check my emails everyday

If you manage to find your Zen while waiting PLEASE SHARE your secret with the rest of the forum. Their are many here who could definitely use it! haha

The secret is to start buying all the accessories. Bed cover, rack/rails, new/better LED bulbs, mats, etc.. Haha.

Maybe. Production is ramping up. Shipping seems a bit problematic. But, yeah, six months seems like a good estimate. June and July hybrid orders are being delivered now.

completely plausible,
My dad ordered a xl awd 4k and floor mats ordered 12/31
ALREADY SHcHLUED 3/14
So at minimum 4 months but most likely more.
I agree that you never know the timeline. I ordered 1/5/22 and I'm scheduled for the production week of 3/7/22. 🤷‍♂️

After you get your confirmation email a day or two after placing the order, you only have to check your emails on Thursdays which is the day the scheduled build dates are released. It's been about 7 weeks since I got the build date for the week of February 14th, so still waiting for another email to let me know it has been built. Good luck!

I ordered an XLT yesterday. 2.0, XLT Lux, FX4 4K Tow, in Red. No accessories that I can get later. From what I have seen on the internet a simple build is what they are looking for. My dealer said 8 to 12 weeks. I am hoping that's possible.
