Order process?

I do not have a VIN. I placed the order Monday. I called the salesman Friday to make a modification to the order. He said the order was already submitted to Ford and he mailed me some sort of acknowledgement letter. I haven't received that yet, maybe Monday. The original buyer's order I signed has a customer number. Not sure if that is the order number or not. I just see a lot of people getting emails from Ford relatively quickly and I have not yet.

If you're asking me, no I do not. Just the email from Ford stated they received my order.

If you didn't get the original order confirmation from Ford I don't believe there's any way for that to be re-sent. Lots of people didn't just due to Ford e-mail weirdness or dealers mis-entering the e-mail and I don't believe they ever got a second copy. To be honest it's not like there's important info in it, just a 'we got your order'.

I just wanted confirmation that Ford got my order. This dealer seems a little laid back as they are dealing with mail. They may have not even provided my email address. He said he would call when there is a vin number. I just don't want to sit for weeks waiting for a VIN to learn they either didn't submit the order or submitted it wrong or something. I'll wait to see what exactly it is he mailed me.

CALL FORD MOTOR CO 1-800-334-4375. ASK THEM IF THEY RECEIVED YOUR ORDER. YOU MUST HAVE A DORA . A ORDER FORM FROM THE DEALER. AT THE TOP RIGHT YOU'LL SE A ORDER CODE AND ABOVE THAT A SEALES CODE. YOU WILL NEED THEM. ALSO MAKE SURE THEY HAVE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS.

I don't have a DORA but I suspect that is what he mailed to me. He referred to it as an acknowledgement. I'll wait and see if it shows up Monday. I wish this dealer would email me things instead of using mail.

Looks like I got the DORA I hear about. I did ask to have the FX4 package added and he said that shouldn't be a problem. I should be getting an updated one with the FX4 package. I suppose it looks like everything is progressing how it should.

Still no email from Ford. I assume since I have the DORA, Ford has received my order? Next step then is I get a VIN and will get scheduled for production?

Also, on My Ford account, it shows no orders. How and when does that get updated?

Did an online chat with Ford and they confirmed the order is processing. Everything seems to be progressing how it should. Still not holding out hope for an end of the year delivery though.

I contacted Ford about my order and they said it was “in order processing”, but never did get the confirmation email from them. I also had them add my email address to my account for future updates.

I placed my order today over lunch with Granger and already received my Ford confirmation email...fyi

I have a feeling I'm not going to get an email but I have a DORA and a chat representative from Ford confirming the order so I think I'm good. Is it possible the salesman simply didn't include my email? This dealer seems a little laid back and old school and likes to mail things.

Received my updated and likely final DORA. My final build will be an XLT FX4 with luxury package and co-pilot in Hot Pepper Red. Total price is $29,275 which does not include the $200 deposit I left. Considering the market, seems like a fair price. I guess now all I can do is wait and look at accessories online until it arrives.
