It took one month shy of 2 years to get the Maverick that I ordered on November 3, 2021 to be delivered. But I had already purchased one on February 22, 2023, that the people who had ordered it couldn't seem to qualify for financing to purchase it. I love my Maverick. I did go and look at the one that I had built, but they wanted to pay me less than what I had bought it out right for by a large amount. They said they could see Hail damage on it. It has never had Hail damage.

I really hope your comments on tires is untrue. If Ford's supply of tires is limited from company A then get them from company B. Tires are a consumable part of vehicle ownership that can easily be changed during ownership.
It's contractual, why would they pay more? It's basically they won the bid to supply x amount of tires. Supply chain breaks are not uncommon in any industry.

Coming up on 17 months since I placed my order for an Atlas Blue Metallic, '23, 2.0 turbo, AWD. tow package, cargo cover, full sized spare and keyless entry. This is the truck I need & want. It fits my needs perfectly. Just wish it would get here!
If it's an XL it's certainly a hacker's build. They don't like XL orders apparently. It's an awesome spec, hope you get it some day!

Yeah, inflation, high interest rates, and increased Mav prices are pretty much what made me pass on my 24. I understand it's the cheapest truck out there, but even though I want it, it's just not worth it anymore.

I decided I had to be logical and just buy what I could pay cash for. I had $28k and a $28K Mav is just too stripped down for me.

I ordered a XLT in Dec which is produced and in transit now. I've decided not to pick it up though and went with something else last week.

I was really excited to order, but once the excitement wore off that I was finally able to get a Mav, I realized that they're just overpriced now for the features I want. They've increased in price each year while also removing features. What was a great deal when I first started looking, IMO no longer is.
Yes, some of the initial shine & glitter has gone & too much time has passed =second thoughts. Higher license price each year, higher insurance rates, parts availability. Mine should finally be started this week but I am thinking of walking. The whole idea sounded good, but was poorly executed.
