onX offer in my notifications

While remote starting my Maverick this morning, I noticed an offer in my inbox... 1 year of onX Elite for free.
I went ahead and signed up, process complete, service "activated".
Load the app(s) and I'm faced with 7 day trials and am required to purchase memberships for the services that are "free" for a full year.

Anyone else tried to redeem the offer?

I signed up and now have onX off-road elite free for a year. Now if I can just find where I turn off automatic renewal...

Ford Marketing seems to have found their niche - using the app to sell additional services or plans I’m sure there are many more things to come - I don’t usually activate any free trial memberships when it requires a credit card that makes it my responsibility to cancel the subscription or turn off any auto renewal if I decide not to continue the service after the trial ends. I guess you could download another app to manage your subscriptions, where does it end companies make millions of dollars preying on people who lose track of what they subscribe too. I once read Starbucks had a surplus greater than 100 million dollars from lost gift cards or unused balances on app accounts that were deleted or people just stopped using

Update: it looks like the onX system just needed to catch up to itself. I have full access.

Handy tip- If you get a refillable gift card, it can be used to purchase online. I have one that I put just enough money on to cover whatever purchase I intend plus a buck or two. After the purchase, if my card is compromised I lose a few buck in stead of being maxxed out. Did that with this offer. I only use that card online. Never my credit cards.
