After a 1,500-mile trip to Michigan I can share that our 2025 Maverick Lariat AWD Hybrid performed flawlessly. But Ford has me perplexed by their choices in options. For example:
  1. They provide an inside lock for the gas filler but not a HomeLink garage door opener.
  2. The outside mirrors have cameras and blind spot monitors but no turn signal lamp nor puddle lights.
  3. The entertainment sound system is robust but good luck finding AM/FM/Sirius controls.
  4. The interior ambient lighting system is cool, but no overhead compartment for glasses storage.
  5. The back window has an electric slider opener but no defroster wires to clear fogged windows.
  6. The driver's seat is powered and heated, but the passenger seat is only heated but no power adjust.
  7. The dash chimes railroad crossings and school zones but there is no way to turn it off without an OBDII
  8. The headlights are excellent, but the turn signals come with incandescent bulbs and no cornering lights.
  9. The center console is deep enough for a tissue box but no storage tray for small stuff.
  10. The dealer will install a flashy high mount brake lamp, but the rear turn signals are not amber.
  11. Ordered a hard box cover that looks great but leaks like a sieve.
  12. Ordered great trailer towing options but then they leave space open for mud & dirt (thank you Mabec)
Before anyone posts helpful links to solve these issues, I am pretty much aware of what is out there. The point is choices are made by the manufacturer that could have been options adding convenience and class to a great truck. If you buy a Lariat you expect to see better than what is on the competition. Once again, no complaints about how it handles, rides, accelerates, etc. we love this truck, just thinking "HUH?"

The mirror picture is my version of HomeLink on the right and dashcam in the middle. The rear bumper has a Mabbett cover over the hitch and a US Flag hitch plug.

I assume you have a sunroof, I don't have a sunroof and have a glasses cubby in the overhead.
Yes, a sunroof is one of the tradeoffs. However, it looks like there is room for the glass's cubby. Of course there are other locations to adapt to.

What brand of hard box cover do you have that leaks? Did it come already installed on the truck or is it something you ordered? I'm in the market for a hard tonneau cover myself so I'm always interested in other's experiences with them.

This is an OEM factory hard rollup cover installed at the factory. The rubber side caps appear to be too short leaving a gap at both ends (front and back). I definitely would go in another direction. Mostly becomes an issue in the car wash but has minor leaks in rain also.

3 whats difficult? you get a whole lot of memory to save your favorite stations.
5 i did miss the rear window the defrost in jan/feb
7 i have a 2025 and i do not get the chimes for school/railroad. i didnt even know that was a thing. you must have turned on a setting.
10. i think all rear turn signals should be amber, Europe and Japan agree....but i dont live in Europe or Japan.
11 i have the Ford branded (i think its the BakFlip Mx4) Tri-fold and it does let a few drops in at the 1st fold, so i dont think its an install issue.

edit: ok i found the answer to #7. it was hidden pretty well.
- have your Map on the screen
- click the 3 bars icon
- click More Settings
- click Alert Preferences.
i guess the dealer unchecked the 2 boxes before i got it.

also #3 Ford gives 5 pages of presets, thats up to 30 presets.

I love my 24 Lariat for what it is, a low cost compact truck. I is not a Cadillac Escalade.
