The problem is I am in the pacific northwest and Granger Ford is a little too far for me.

I know I get loyalty credit with my dealer is its the second vehicle I purchase from them which is $750 discount I believe.
Call the leasing managers of your local Ford dealerships and ask if they will function as a CD (courtesy Delivery) and for how much.

If any of them say yes, get their code and contact @Dealerinsider aka Tom the great and magnificent. Find out what kind of flowers and chocolate Tom’s SO prefers (or one of his team’s) and send it to them as a get out of jail free card for working their buts off for us. Then politely ask if you can still get the 4% under invoice plus 394 PA doc fee. He will walk you through the rest of the very painless process.

if you want to strictly deal local, tell the dealer you already know of a 4% below invoice offer but would prefer to stay local and ask the best he is willing to do.

I believe X Plan is Invoice +1% and limit to Doc Fee amount.
Chapman is 4% BELOW Invoice.
It was a $3,500 no brainer for me and Tom and Steven @Dealerinsider are EXCELLENT to deal with. You can't go wrong. Yes they have a lot of orders for Maverick's. BUT they had 30 allotted last week compared to Granger's 5.
No need to guess: X-plan is Invoice - 0.4% + $275 program fee, dealer doc fees limited to $100.

So about 3.6% minus 25$ over Tom’s offer?

Yeah when I bought my Focus I was going to use X-plan but whatever incentive the dealer was offering was a better deal. So I never looked into until now.

Thank you all for your valuable info and kind answers. I was considering to going to my dealer to test drive a hybrid escape to get a feel for hybrid maverick. I will talk to sales manager and see if they can do a courtesy drop.

Only interaction I had was with my dealer is through text and email. They were helpful getting my order in quickly without deposit and any hussles.

You will not save 3500 maybe 800 bucks. I spoke to Steve at Horsham Pa. 394 doc the cost to drop ship or go pick it up the added mileage and wear on a new truck When all said, maybe 2% You still got to pay the sales tax in the state you reside in Not really worth it for all the inconvenience I live a mile from a Ford dealer If it was Chapman that would be great

I am using a CD, my truck will never go to PA (I am going to regret saying never ) and there is no drop fee. Between spiffs, incentives and targets adding to the ridiculous markups in my area (Really Herlong Ford of Edgefield, SC 4% over MSRP and a deposit? Say good bye to extra fees my right butt cheek) Our foundation saved close to 12%. That’s at least 7 more families we can help.

admittedly I am the most extreme swing I have seen on the forum though and radically different circumstances (non profit, vehicle to be modified for carrying and lifting a wheelchair and again stupid silly local pricing)

I concur! I added Co-pilot 360 ($540) and upgraded the color, a $390 charge. Even with CD fee of $300 and PA doc fee.
I'm still atleast $300 under what one of my local dealers was charging me at MSRP on my original order. Also said they were going to charge for some wheel locks, that I could care less for. So the cost was going to be a little over MSRP.

Apologize.
I'm SAVING $3,500 by USING Chapman Ford instead of my local dealer.
Had I continued the purchase of my Maverick from the local dealer I would have paid $3,500 more than what Chapman will charge me.

Do I need to say it any other way? Let me know if you REQUIRE the details. They have already been spelled out in a different thread but I can detail it out again if you NEED it.

History: When I walked into the dealership I had everything already picked out. All that was necessary was to enter the order and take my deposit. Once done, I signed the paperwork and did not ask for a penny discount; not even the $179 lifetime nitrogen filled tires…
This dealer represents 9 different manufacturers and is a mega player.

Now: I talked with Ford CRC and my dealer today. My order is in the system but not yet scheduled. My dealer says they have 35 orders but only 1 scheduled for production. It sounded like they are spending most of their time trying to keep Bronco and Maverick buyers from canceling orders.

Point: If my Mega dealer can’t get product, and I’m gonna have to wait anyway, why shouldn’t I cancel my order and reorder from one of the dealers offering 3 or 4% off msrp.

Thoughts??
I would cancel. I did the same thing, had put $1000 refundable deposit down at the first dealership. Went with Chapman Ford in Horsham, PA (have family nearby and its less than 7 hours to get there from home) got the first edition and all the add on accessories I wanted for the price of a lariat with lux package only. I got Ford 360, sunroof, all weather floor liners, soft fold tonneau, splash guards and a swing tool box in the bed. Again it was less than just the lariat lux. 3 or 4% is a significant discount as it is off the dealer invoice not msrp. Just financially sound no matter what level or msrp it is. The deciding factor for you will be, does traveling to get it still save you money.

Good point… I think I would approach it as a chance to take a small vacation. If I save $1200 but have a $1000 experience, then I’m better for it. Thanks

Changed my order to Chapmen, 2 hour drive and $2500 savings. They get more allocation due to volume. I have 2 cars and not a 911, happy to wait

Ha, I live 4tenths of a mile from a Ford Dealer… I reserved a Maverick on 6/8, still waiting for the follow from them, that’s why I went to the other gorilla

Does anyone know when you need to provide a pin to get the x-plan price? I saw on this forum somewhere it was either when they scheduled the build, or when they started the build. Somewhere else (not on this forum) I read it was before you pick it up. I'm ready to order, but I'm not eligible for a pin, though the Mustang club, for another 60 or so days.

Do anybody here know about X plan pricing? Did I have to order my maverick at the X plan price or do I talk to the dealer at the time of delivery?

My local dealer is not doing any incentives like 3% off MSRP.
I finally ordered in July after being repeatedly told via e-mail that they couldn't do x-plan pricing. I had gone in to test drive one of the other hybrids and then they explained they could do xplan but they didn't have the x-plan pricing. So my suggestion is to mention the x-plan and you can spec and price the x-plan via the ford partner site. Bring both prices with you and they will probably spec and order with using the MSRP to make sure it's optioned as you want ( print both ) and then give you x-plan pricing when it comes in.

I saved slightly over $2500 off MSRP with 4% under invoice. My CD (courtesy delivery) will cost $250.
The deposit for them to ship is just assurance your taking delivery of the vehicle when it arrives and ends up applied to the cost of the vehicle when you take it. If you don’t take delivery at the courtesy delivery dealer they ship your Maverick to, then that deposit is used to ship to Chapman Ford dealership.
