I called Ford yesterday to see if I could get any info. I called the marketing number. Got the same “your order is being processed“ response, but for the first time they were able to look at my reservation. It still says XLT, even though I switched to Lariat, but I was told that that was normal and that the reservation wouldn’t change, but the build would. However, what concerns me is that the reservation says on hold. Neither rep had ever seen that on an order. The first rep I spoke with said it probably is no big deal, and thought that the reason it says that is because the order was changed and it is a way to keep my original order date. Also she said that the reservation has nothing to do with the build. If the correct build is submitted to Ford by the dealer, that is what will be built. I spoke to the dealer yesterday and they confirmed and sent me the order sheet with all the correct info that was sent to Ford. I called Ford today to see if perhaps there was an update in the system after I spoke to the dealer. Still XLT, which again Ford said was normal, and still the reservation hold, which no one seems to be able to explain. Has anyone else been told that they have a hold on the reservation? My hope is that the info from yesterday is correct, and the hold simply is an order date hold, 7/14 rather than the change date 7/28.

on a side note, has anyone seen a build scheduled with the stand alone bed liner? my thought is that this is what could be holding up my build.

Your order date doesn't seem to mean anything (from Ford). I have seen people order as late as august and get scheduled. I ordered mine in June and have not been notified. Just my observation.

Pretty sure the stand alone bed liner is a delay item. Check around the forum for posts about the options that could cause a delay. Spray in bed for lux packages is not a hold (they are effectively prioritized over the stand alone option)

I agree, and have seen the same. Hoping the “on hold“ on the reservation means nothing. As noted, correct build has been sent to Ford

I'm curious, you are aware that a stand alone spray bed liner is a delay item, but are then hoping it won't be?

A large company that builds trucks at a rate of one every minute, involving thousands of pieces being assembled, is not going to be attending anything marked as delayed. In all likelihood you'll be waiting til next year sometime unless you change your order... Which your dealer can do anytime up until you have a build date scheduled!

Rumour is it is the solvent used in applying the bedliner that is constrained. It is a common organic solvent in global short supply ATM.

I am not so worried about the delay, and agree I can take off the spray in. What I was concerned about is the reservation on hold. At this point, even if I am scheduled next week, that would be a late December delivery anyways. So a couple of months up or down is fine.

Spoke to Ford and good things seem to be brewing on my order. I was told that the reservation in the system is now corrected to Lariat and I no longer have a hold. My concern was getting that bill date scheduled and it saying XLT
