Thanks, for the input. I also talked with other pickup owners and decided on soft rollup. Well, I decided on the Tuxedo Sport from Amazon, and installed it myself. So far, so good.

Me either, butJust curious if anyone with a hybrid has had to pay the hybrid license fee? I haven’t the last 2 years. Can’t figure out why
I was told it was a one time thing upon purchase.Just curious if anyone with a hybrid has had to pay the hybrid license fee? I haven’t the last 2 years. Can’t figure out why
Hybrids in Ohio are an extra $100/year with the tags (daughters accord hybrid is in dads name so the tags renewal comes to me) total ev’s are $200New in Bellbrook - hi guys.
Regarding the registration fee, we also have a Tesla in the garage, and we pay that extra EV registration fee every year at tag renewal time. I can't remember the number but it's like $200 a year, apparently to replace the state's lost gas taxes.
But I think it only is applicable to things that are plugged in. If the Maverick was a plug in hybrid, it would probably have the extra EV registration fee. Without being plugged in, it's only energy source is gasoline and therefore already subject to the gas tax.
I haven't ever seen that extra fee and just receive my renewal notice - not there either. I did have a Hybrid Camry that I traded in on the Mav and the extra fee for hybrids was on that renewal every year.Just curious if anyone with a hybrid has had to pay the hybrid license fee? Yep,I had to do it...complete surprise,Oh Well!Just curious if anyone with a hybrid has had to pay the hybrid license fee? I haven’t the last 2 years. Can’t figure out why
The theory I've seen here before is that the fee is calculated based on the VIN codes. And that the truck code gets priority in Ohio's system over the hybrid code. It's something that could potentially get fixed at some point, but I ain't going to be the one telling them about it.Hybrids in Ohio are an extra $100/year with the tags (daughters accord hybrid is in dads name so the tags renewal comes to me) total ev’s are $200
This might be why. I had a 22 in January 22, and the lady at the BMV that registered it first couldn't find Maverick in the listing (BMV hadn't added it yet I guess), and then had to calculate the truck rating and put it down as a half ton truck. She asked if it was a hybrid and I said it's 'gas only'.The theory I've seen here before is that the fee is calculated based on the VIN codes. I wonder what's going to happen to me, I paid 5 years for tags/license on my previous car this year gr86. I kept the plates, they are good til July 2029. im under the impression I just go to dmv, pay 5 dollars and the plates now belong to the maverick lol. I wonder if they will impose a 100x5 year price on me.The theory I've seen here before is that the fee is calculated based on the VIN codes.
