Off road in my hybrid today!

Yes I was very careful on the trail coming in because I know the Maverick has a long wheelbase and single ply street tires.

No I didn't try to drive on to the beach. I've recovered enough Jeep wranglers to know better.

I thought yall would get a kick out of it. Nice to know my hybrid is capable of coming down to one of my favorite chillout spots.

Usually I would take the Silverado to places like this but I haven't even drove it since the hybrid arrived in January LOL. And now that we have a second Maverick hybrid in the driveway we're actually talking about selling the Silverado.

Never in a million years would we have thought that a little hybrid pickup truck would take the place of our full size go anywhere hauler and our go fast sports cars.

I miss having a good park by the river spot. On Maui there is really only 1 good one. Its a 45 min drive out on the Hana Hwy from me. Back in Ohio I had a dozen spots you could get to in nearly any vehicle. Even had a couple I would take a Beretta Gt to after a long night of delivering zas.

Nice! I like to think of mine as the “off-road hybrid” as well. I take it on trails and have all terrain tires on it

Shhhh, if word gets out you can do some mild offroading in a hybrid everybody will want one. Supplies will dwindle and prices will soar through the roof.......nevermind too late.

Been to Maui twice and returning in June. Looked for a Maverick rental but couldn’t find one. Love my Maui time and hopefully I will get a Maverick before they haul me off to the “home”.

We are going to Granger to pick ours up in June, then 2 weeks cross country. Then its on a boat for a month. Hoping it will be the first Tremor on the island in August. If you have been to Twin Falls on the Hana Hwy you have been to my work. If you havent its a fun place, short hike to 3 waterfalls, unless its pounding rain then its just 2 falls, swimming depends on the river flow but usually its great. $10 for parking though until after 4pm. It gets super busy and is often full and unable to enter in the middle of the day, But if you come after 2pm you can almost always get a spot. I havent seen any Maverick rentals, there was one guy running a hybrid as a Lyft ride but havent seen him in a while. All in I would say there is around 20 on island maybe a few more. Tons of Bronco Sports though, we test drove a Badlands model before we ordered our Maverick.

Its a good place to hang out and swim for a while. Really beautiful forest up by the upper waterfall, and the first falls is a nice easy walk and has a nice wide pool to swim. Good place to stop on the way back if you got a early start to Hana or if you are just cruising around the north shore Paia, Haiku, Makawao areas for the day.
