OBD2 Scanner - recommendations?

I just tested my INNOVA 5410 and it does pull the global DTC codes with no problems. Even though the vehicle isn't listed I set it to a Ford Escape with 2.0L ecoboost engine and the enhanced Ford Key on and Key off tests work but not the access to the individual modules like for the instrument cluster or telematics modem. Hopefully that will change if INNOVA puts out a new firmware this year for newer vehicles.

Forscan worked on my MY24 XL Hybrid after updating to the latest version. I was able to make multiple changes.

In the initial web page it states not compatible, maybe they should note without update??

Can anyone recommend a OBD2 Scanner for non experts to read and clear codes. Just tried the highly rated Launch CRP129E 2022 and it would not recognize the new 2022 Maverick. Emailed them but nothing yet.

Any advice for our new Mav would be appreciated......

For reading and storing, possibly for mods also??

A little pricy but with it's own color touch screen can be left in the car/truck 24/7/365 and you'll have all those digital gauges you've always dreamed of plus DTC scanner / resetter and it will tell you if you will pass/fail emissions / state testing before you go.

OBDLinkMX Bluetooth. I bought this back in 2016 for use on my 2016 f150 XLT to make forscan changes. It is work flawlessly on my Fords as well as my Chevrolets for DTCs as well as making changes to all my Fords and my father's Lincoln via forscan.

Plus all my Android devices connect to it for DTCs like I mentioned earlier. I think I paid something like 30 or $40 in 2016 Ford on Amazon. All my laptops have also had no problem connecting to it with Bluetooth, it's nice not having to plug a cable in.

hello sorry i know it is an old post but can you remember when you connected your scanner what error it gave because i am trying mine it just saying can't communicate just trying to get is it my scanner problem or data link conenctor thanks
