Does anyone have or can recommend a OBD2 scanner for the 2025 and newer Mavericks, that use
the WWH-OBD Protocol and Ecrypted CAN buses. Ford admits there is a known problem with the 2025
Fords and the emission test scanners.

I am using this scanner with my 25 Maverick with no issues...OBD2 scanner

A) why are you doing an emissions test on a 2025?

B) how can it "pass" without communicating?

Does that scanner show what the odometer mileage is on your vehicle? We have an older car and the digital odometer no longer illuminates but the odometer still works. I usually have Autozone plug in there device and in their report that prints out it shows me the vehicle's mileage. I need something cheap that does the same thing

A) I live in a state that requires one annually (PA)
B) I do not know, I believe they got a wavier and put the sticker on.

It would depend on the software and platform (Apple or Android) used. There are free and paid software available and I would guess the odometer info would be available in most of the apps.

At least several posters with 25MY are using Forscan (and making changes) or Forscan Lite (for viewing info) with one of their recommended adapters. Which are not the cheapest generic ones.

Not sure if that was the app then that got around the new protocol/security, or the adapter already supported it, but the adapters have been out for awhile.

The wireless ones work with Forscan Lite for your phone - should be enough for your usage.
And it should work with Car Scanner app for other vehicles. Or other apps that talk to adapters.
