I guess I could check that out if it was important to me, but it isn't.

I'm very happy with what my Mav is - an inexpensive vehicle that does everything I need it to.
It's a pickup truck, not a quarter mile dragster. Regardless of powerplant, it has adequate power.
There are better choices than any Maverick if wanted a street racer, but I don't.
If I want to go really fast, my motorcycle can make it to about 150.

Magazine writers that evaluate vehicles are a poor source of relevant information for me.
They drive a vehicle for a short time and all their focus is how much fun it is compared to all of the other vehicles they drove recently, and what features they can play with.

Others may have very different opinions. That's fine, but it doesn't change mine.

IF that is true...then why post about 0-60 times to begin with?

Car and driver has the ecoboost mav at 5.9 to 60. Most other places have between 5.8-6.1. 6.8 is a clear outlier.

So why are you posting in the Lobo subforum at all? You could be smug in your hybrid superiority elsewhere. I'm not trolling the hybrid guys saying I'm enjoying the 60 hp hp advantage of the EB motor, and the unquestionable vastly superior handling of the Lobo package.

So likewise, your opinion is completely meaningless.

Most likely tested on 87 octane gas. For the EB, type of gas matters. If you want peak acceleration, you need minimum 91 octane gas.

Performance between the EB & hybrid are pretty similar when both are running 87. But the EB comes to life on 91+. And factor in most journalists suck at quick/consistent acceleration... 😅

I don’t like the look of either wheel choice so that would be an added expense. Then there is the stealer. At my age I can no longer deal with those crooked people nor the con men they employ. That’s honestly the biggest deterrent to buying these days. Can’t subject myself to that horrible environment.
I thrive in the rattlesnakes nest. I’ve actually been told to leave at one dealer.
I was standing in the middle if the showroom floor loudly telling potential customers how this particular dealer was trying to rip me off.

Trying to sell me an extra warranty costing
$200 to cover my cheap steel wheels that cost $200 new,
They got really mad when I laughed at the extra $250 warranty to cover the friggen AM/FM radio.
A potential customer got up and walked out ahead of me.

Mission accomplished !

I got a far better deal at another dealer.
It was Toyota in case it matters.

When you walk into the wolf’s den you simply have to be the Alpha.

You got the money and credit, make them beg.

You don't wanna stand in the middle of the showroom floor and yell? That's essential for any smooth negotiator.

My words, something like, “This dealer is a money laundering outfit for the Cartels.”
They are all about stealing your money. This is what they tried to do to me,” etc,,,

“You don’t mess with the special investigators”
Zah !

Fighting injustice does not weaken me.
It makes me stronger.
I will not age and go quietly into the night.
I will burn brightly.

Time enough for rest in the grave !

Honestly, it's SOOOOO much easier to have a relative that's a Ford Employee/Retiree. For dealerships that accept the program, it's pretty smooth.

No but when I was young I did knock over a few garbage cans screaming "give me my F__king keys back so I can get out of this F--king DUMP"

My point was there was there didn't appear to be all that much difference in performance, when the OP was asking about real world price. There are a lot of reasons to buy a vehicle beyond its ability to accelerate. If the difference of a second is most important, go for it.

MPG these days is a growing portion of cost of ownership.
I just did a 100+ mile round trip and got 40 mpgs.
That I can live with.

The MPG is a real issue. In fact used cars are up in demand and price and the ones at the top are energy efficient vehicles. In my case I live in the city and walk almost everywhere. My 23" has 3400 miles on it and I bought it wuth 2400. So I'm okay with 5 mpg.

Pull the trigger, you won't regret it! I don't care too much about the MPG because I love the engine sounds that come out of the speakers. Makes you want to push it harder. Sport & Lobo modes are fun. Make it your own. I bought the Lobo High and got them down to $39k. Plus the B&O 8 speaker system packs a punch and sounds awesome!
