How cold is it there, how short is your trip? What speeds? Etc. More info is helpful.

I’ve owned it since November, put 3k miles on it. Temp ranging from 90 degrees to 30. From 3 hour trips to 15 minute commutes.

Do you have SIBL? Part of the recall? Maybe you've been leaking fuel? That does seem low. Even when I am all city driving in my AWD EcoBoost, I still get 22-23 MPG. And that's with a pretty heavy foot.

back in 2014 I swapped my F150 with my friends Ford Fusion for a week. He go 6MPG worse in my truck and I got 8MPG worse in his Fusion. We swapped back and everything went back to normal. It’s hard to make since of it. I swear he drove it more aggressively than me. Maybe your babying it too much.

Edit- You could also order a Hybrid this summer and try selling it in the fall. Might lose a tiny amount. Or order 2 Hybrids and sell one of those and the EcoBoost. You could Stand to make a profit.

If I intentionally drive as conservatively as possible and in eco mode I can squeeze out 23mpg. I have slightly bigger tires, but Ive still been a little disappointed with the numbers I'm getting

Wonder why the low mpg on some…

The only reason I went with the Mav was because of fuel economy. I have 98 mile commute each was to work.

I think I am going to miss my VW TDI every time at the fuel pump!!

My EcoBoost Lariat with AWD and the towing package is getting roughly 20 mpg in mixed city/interstate driving with most trips being 10-15 miles long. About half of my mileage on the last two tanks involved towing a bass boat. When not towing the boat I have been averaging closer to 25 mph.

20 is low and I would contact the dealer. I have awd and have been avg close to 28 with lots of highway driving. 23-25 in city likely. You running 87 or 92 gas?

Should have taken the wait and ordered the hybrid

Well I get 27-28.5ish in my AWD ECO, but only if I'm religious in keeping air in the tires. If it goes down even a hair, i'm 25.5ish.

I've been averaging very low 20s in my AWD EB. I don't drive aggressively by any measure. I do drive mostly short trips, in town and have to go out of my way to use an interstate or any sort of highway. This is the type of driving that the hybrid is supposed to excel at. I hope to have my hybrid by the end of the summer. In the meantime, I'll keep driving the EB which will go on the block when my hybrid shows up.

* Edit: I have 245/65-17 AT tires, and I never remember to switch to eco mode. It's odd that the drive modes automatically switch back to normal every time you shut the vehicle off.

My experience with several new cars is that MPGs get better at around 5k miles on the odometer.
