Hope you’re able to get out and enjoy the Northern Lights tonight. This is only the second time in my life to see them; this time is way better.

^^^ View looking south. Incredible. It’s like it takes up the entire sky.

I've seen green, which is pretty nifty, but I've never seen color, and it's lots better!

Friday night. Just hitting dusk here right now, with clear skies.

Not a cloud in the sky all day here. Night time comes around, can't see crap... The sky was clearly lit up too but couldn't see past the thin layer of clouds. O well, I'm glad I've seen in before but it would have been cool to see from my doorstep.

Great shots folks. It was cloudy last night (Sat.) but Friday's shots were slightly better.We had a ISS Space station fly-by directly overhead. What was amazing for this was that we were expecting them on the northern horizon and the Aurora was directly overhead.

These are from Friday. Went up to Lake Ontario, just east of Webster, NY.

My Maverick was parked in the garage, so it's not in the pics. But the aurora borealis put on a surprisingly good show as far South as the Arkansas Ozarks. That, plus some pics of mammatus clouds at sunset a few days before. Two firsts I'd never seen in the sky this year - a 100% total solar eclipse and now, the Northern Lights.
Also threw in a pic of the big dipper.... just because.

The Atlas Blue Metallic really went well with red of the solar flares...lol
