If you installed the "factory noise buffers" on the inside of the right and left front fenders are you satisfied with the noise reduction ? Was the result of installing the "noise buffers" worth the effort to install them ?
My Maverick is not that noisy but I don't want to spend the money if it not worth it. Maybe spend my money on tailgate speakers or in the fender well lighting instead !

There is a huge thread about them here on the forums if you feel like reading/sifting through all of it. The jist of it though is that the baffles are suppose to help reduce engine noise, wind noise, and engine smells from entering the cab.

My take on it is that they didn't really make a difference when I had them installed at the dealer but other members swear by it so who knows.🤷‍♂️

Anyway, here's a link to the thread I mentioned. Enjoy the "lite" reading!:)

Thanks for sharing. My 2.0 xlt lux doesn’t have them. Maybe I’ll pick some up.

After reading all the posts about how noisy the Maverick was I really listened for myself and found that the loudest place for me was the drivers foot well area. Obviously the noise I was hearing was tire noise even at low speeds.

Then I read the post about the insulators and ordered them, I figured they weren't too expensive and even if they provided a very small amount of sound deadening (I had my doubts they would) it would be worth it. I installed them by partially removing the inner wheel well liners, took less than 10 minutes.

I did not notice any reduction in noise after installation unfortunately. I plan on having the tires rotated when I get my first oil change just to see if it may be a noisy tire, but I'm not doing anything else or worry about it after that. My radio works well, I'm happy;)

So weird that the same truck (well different trims) is described as both noisy and quiet by members here. I mean really. Some people actually get upset and start throwing the hater word around if somebody says "it's noisy". I guess different ears at work, just like different butts in seats.

I appreciate the feedback to my thread about the noise dampers for the front fenders. I like the idea of the noise deadening material adhered to the rear cab panel and under seat area. I think I will invest in that first. A couple more years and I will have poor enough hearing I won't hear anything at all. Thanks folks !
