I made the choice to sell my Maverick and upgrade to a Ford Ranger. I've always loved the Ranger and owned one for a number of years in my early 20's. I almost bought a 6th generation Ranger before I bought my Mav, but I really liked the Maverick's affordable price. I love the Maverick platform but it turns out it just wasn't the best option for my situation. I live in a pretty darn rural area and I think the Mav was just a hair too small for my use case. I frequently had buyers remorse wishing I had gotten the hybrid instead of the EB, esspecially with the longer distances I drive living in such a remote area. However, at the time I bought the only way to get the tow package was with the EcoBoost. I'm also a big, broad shouldered dude at 6'3" and 260lbs; and while the Mav was comfortable for shorter rides around town, it really got uncomfortable during long journeys to Portland or Boise. I found myself frequently having to stop so I could get out and stretch my legs, not something I had to do with my old cars on long trips.
I'll still be around because I think this forum is a great resource for all kinds of automotive stuff, but I just won't be able to call myself an official member of the Maverick Truck Club

They offer a PHEV in Australia! Would love to see an American version of the Ranger with a hybrid engine or PHEV option.
Yes, ROW Ranger gets a PHEV but North America can suck it....sad.
Thank you. .030 over 302, z spec T5, 31 spline 8.8, 3.55 gears, 2003 Cobra 4 wheel disc. brakes. Frame off restoration in 2015 with 586,000 miles on motor and rear end since then. Totaled in 2017 and repaired. Still going. It’s been good to me through the years.
