I wish you well with that,........but my best man has had two years of problems with his Ranger. Since he doesn't need the extra weight cabilities of the Ranger, he is considering going back to a Honda Ridgeline, of which, he has had four since their introduction.

Side-by-side? How big was the Ranger in 2015?

If you look at an XLT equipped with the optional XLT Luxury Package, it gets upgraded to the exact same 8-way power driver's seat and power lumbar support found standard in the Lariat.
If don't, then Standard Lariat: Features an 8-way power driver's seat with power lumbar support. This adds the ability to electronically fine-tune the angle of the seat cushion base (tilting) and customize lower back support via the dedicated power lumbar control.
I can look at an XLT with the Lux package I have one sitting in my garage. Right here👇

My question was. Does the lariat have any more controls than the XLT seat?
There was a claim of the lariat offered more leg room then the XLT.
I don't understand how that is possible because they're exactly the same seat dimensions. The only difference between two seats is this covering fabric versus ActiveX.
That's why I call it the "Lariat placebo" effect. Folks tend to believe that they pay more they more. Kind of like saying the lariat got a bigger bed than the XLT.😁

Congratulations, I just recently went the other direction. Same reasons as you, just the opposite, the Maverick was a better fit for me at the moment. Still have the Ranger but am loving the new Maverick too.https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/attachments/upload?type=post&context[thread_id]=83601&hash=c7c9b11eeeaba0cb8c8a2769d247c7c2

Figured it would take much longer for me to post one of these threads, but as of a few days ago I am no longer a card carrying member of MTC. I made the choice to sell my Maverick and upgrade to a Ford Ranger. I've always loved the Ranger and owned one for a number of years in my early 20's. I almost bought a 6th generation Ranger before I bought my Mav, but I really liked the Maverick's affordable price. I love the Maverick platform but it turns out it just wasn't the best option for my situation. I live in a pretty darn rural area and I think the Mav was just a hair too small for my use case. I frequently had buyers remorse wishing I had gotten the hybrid instead of the EB, esspecially with the longer distances I drive living in such a remote area. However, at the time I bought the only way to get the tow package was with the EcoBoost. I'm also a big, broad shouldered dude at 6'3" and 260lbs; and while the Mav was comfortable for shorter rides around town, it really got uncomfortable during long journeys to Portland or Boise. I found myself frequently having to stop so I could get out and stretch my legs, not something I had to do with my old cars on long trips.

I'll still be around because I think this forum is a great resource for all kinds of automotive stuff, but I just won't be able to call myself an official member of the Maverick Truck Club ;)

You don't have to own a Maverick to be a member on this forum, I'm sure every time you see a Maverick parked with the owner near by, you'll stop and talk about the Maverick you owned, so keep in touch with us so your informed with the latest info to pass on.

Thank you sir. My wife claims both of those, guess I am stuck with the trucks. I wouldn’t have it any other way. The Maverick is a wonderful vehicle for what I use it for. I couldn’t be happier. I have been looking at them for several years now. I really wanted Area 51 but am getting use to the HPR pretty quick.

Haha nice! Well they say happy wife, happy life 🤷‍♂️ big ole Ford family you have there. I've seen the Area 51 in person, it is nice. Although not being a big fan of red myself I will say that the HPR is sharp!
