I assume I'm the person you're calling misinformed. I'm just providing the specific information provided by ford. Do you have a more recent update?
Maverick Constraints / Commodities (National) as of September 29 | MaverickTruckClub.com - 2022+ Ford Maverick Pickup Forum, News, Info
That info. is a little misleading. Hybrids were being built at about 30% rate. This 40% is actually an increase in production, which is good. Early November build dates included quite a few Hybrid builds getting scheduled for members on this site, mine being one of them.(Nov. 1st)
Members have posted their Hybrids have already been build with delivery projections as soon as the next ~ 2 weeks. Obviously they won't be delivered until one big event occurs. (EPA numbers and OKTB) but if they are scheduling to be delivered that is probably a really good sign.

So i emailed my dealer asking about this month allocation. He tells me they are not scheduling hybrids right now. and may not be that way until spring. ( not saying this is true just stating what he said)

Is there any chance this thing get scheduled anyways. even though he believes they are not scheduling them! ( FYI im a priority 2)

should i put in a 2nd order with another local dealership. ( i feel like this should have been done back in june)

Anyways this is so frustrating. How can people in this form get scheduled but he says they not scheduling any.

Also i asked if he was talking about retail orders and he said any hybrid.

anyways thanks for any help or guidance.

thanks
Sorry, but some of these dealers talk out their rear ends! Some of these people can't even do a simple review of their Mavericks without mistakes.

I know. I was referencing the tri-fold cover. I had mentioned that it was constrained in a previous post and was seemingly called misinformed for suggesting that it could be added later if the OP wanted to have a better chance at scheduling.

While we don't know whether this is true or not......NEVER take ANYTHING a salesman says as truth or reality.

1st) Salesmen get told what their managers want them to know that equips them to best sell what they have NOW. When I was selling cars and asked a lot of detailed questions I was told, "stay stupid you will make more money." Management generally doesn't like to inform salesmen anymore than necessary as too much information passed to the customer ends in less sales TODAY.

2nd) Salesmen are at the bottom of the information food chain. They get second, third and fourth hand information from managers and other salesmen who are filtering it through their own motivations or misunderstandings - rumors. And what they get told as in 1st, is usually only what they need to know to sell a car NOW.

3rd) The salesmen may well know truth but is telling YOU only what you need to think to get you to buy a car NOW.

Ford is going to keep messing around with these Mavericks long enough and Toyota or GM will wind up announcing they're coming out with a new small truck. If I was ford, I would be most leery of Toyota.

I Agree. A RAV4 pickup would be awesome. But if it ever happens I doubt it will be in the $20k range.

Well said Shay.

A salesman's job is to sell what he has...today. And that's reflected in the sales structure.

I thought the delay on hybrids was due to no EPA numbers yet.

It's been my experience so far that I seem to know more than my lazy salesman. This site has great info and leads me to ask him good question that he usually has no idea about. I ask last week what their allocations were for the Maverick. He didn't know and didn't bother to ask anyone there. From now on I'm going to ask the person in charge.

I don't have a lazy salesman, but I was having trouble getting some answers so I called the Sales Manager. I guess everything goes through them.

The "lazy salesman" is what a lot of us will be/are dealing with. Old school guys who just have their pitch and tactics to nickle and dime you for all you're worth. Couldn't really care less about knowing the product they're selling, but only interested in how much money they will make from selling it to you.
Makes you really appreciate the handful out there who are making a real effort to do well by their customers.

Maybe Ford will send us Hybrid buyers a bottle of booze because of the delays like they did for the Bronco buyers 😂
I support this notion. *cough* tequila *cough*
