I don't understand why so many are concerned about Ford tracking you. Your phone is tracking you and most of the apps like WAZE and Google Maps do also. Unless you live off the grid and don't use a phone or computer you are being tracked.

Uh, your phone is an analytics data gathering device. More information is gathered, stored, and sold from your phone than a lil’ Maverick ever will.

And a company like Lexis Nexis takes all that data and compiles it into the most comprehensive profile on you that exists and sells it to anyone with enough money to pay for it. Mainly the Governement.

I do use phone GPS, but it's nice to have the screen show general streets and compass when I don't need the phone for directions. My 2025 Lariat didn't come with Navtrial subscription and I didn't buy one. As for Android Auto, it's also heavy on the data collection and marketing so I'll pass on that., as I value privacy over convenience. Thanks for the replies!

You could try Open Street Map. Inferior to Google Maps but better privacy. Assuming you’re on Android, best installed by side load on F-Droid. But it is on Google Play.
