Michigan here.i have an antique muscle car, just changed the 30 year old tires on it this spring. They probably only had 20 k on though, and it is always stored inside.the tires still looked new with plenty of tread but after 30 years I figured it was time.wow.
Living in the Mojave Desert (Las Vegas), there isn't much heat, but summers are hot & arid and full of UV.
I've stopped changing "blades". Instead, when it comes time, I replace the driver side blade, and move the old one to the passenger side.
I rejoice when I actually get a second rain of use out of my new wiper a couple of months later! (but that isn't most changes).
The sun is also brutal on tires here--the sidewalls normally go to UV dry rot before tread is even an issue.
I received my Motorcraft OEM wipers yesterday. I haven't installed them yet but the WW2054 blade measures 21" just like the OE blade. I am going to see if it's possible to pop the end cap off the old blade, cut it it with a mini-hacksaw, and pop the cap back on. I don't want to use anything other than Motorcraft/Ford parts, I am kind of OCD like that.I must have thrown out the packaging already, which is very unlike myself lol according to online the passenger wiper blade, that I think it is, Motorcraft WW2054 says direct replacement but mine was definitely an inch shorter than factory.
I can understand the OCD I can be like that as well. Hmm...I received my Motorcraft OEM wipers yesterday. I haven't installed them yet but the WW2054 blade measures 21" just like the OE blade. If you happen to find out please let me know.I can understand the OCD I can be like that as well. Hmm...now I'm wondering what I ended up with because the passenger side measures 20 and the driver's side is 21

I will do that.If you happen to find out please let me know.
Same with mine, stock passenger stops high because it “bottoms out” on the windshield/pillar trim.Do you have the part# for the passenger blade you received? I actually want a slightly shorter blade so I can drop it a little further into the cowl. Thanks!
So on my first oil change visit at the dealership I ordered a set of wipers. I didn't have them install as I can do that do for free. I noticed after install that the wipers given to me were not only a different design but both were 1" shorter. Anyone else notice anything like this? Also yesterday after driving in heavy rain I got a random LOW WASHER FLUID warning but I've never used the washer fluid and while it's not 100% full, it's definitely not empty. Overall tho, still loving the truck!
Cheaper than the Bosch I normally go withWhat was your cost for wipers? I just bought a pair of Michelin at Ollie's for $12.00
If low cost is your goal, Rock Auto has some of the cheapest wiper prices around. Even when you factor in shipping. What was your cost for wipers? I just bought a pair of Michelin at Ollie's for $12.00
My 22 XLT would come on all the time , fluid was full, every time I was at dealer 3/4 times it would be off, they said they couldn't change sensor, 3 years on and off. My 25 Lariat 5 months now no problem must of updated sensor.I didn't realize that, thank you!
Just installed ANCON wipers from RA snapped right in. Very fast delivery. Time will tell but for the price hard to beat.If low cost is your goal, Rock Auto has some of the cheapest wiper prices around. Even when you factor in shipping.
