1. Some things cannot be done on Android Auto/Car Play and require the phone. My job's calling app is one of them. Why get a phone holder. Get a wireless fob for your carplay or Android. Your phone will automatically hook up to your phone wirelessly. It will display maps, audio input, and anything else you need. Put ur phone away!
I get mine with the power cord attached. It costs more but it’s more convenient.Daumn, I got mine labor sale last year was around 50.00 for the mount and holder w free shipping.

I need my phone for work. If I leave it in my truck i can’t retrieve it for almost 2 weeks. Customers would not be able to contact me.I just use the spot Ford put in the console. If I forget my phone when I get out then it's a win win. Nothing but retailers emails and texts from people about crap I don't care about anyway.
Truck driver. Once I leave out I’m out on the road 12 days. Some customers track you by your phone’s location plus l may need to contact them for directions or delivery information or they may need to contact me for updates on their freighs location if they can’t track the phone. Before retirement I needed mine also. May I ask why you would be without it for 2 weeks? When i was doing field service work I could be gone 2 weeks at a time so if I left it in the car at the airport I would have been in the same predicament. But I always carried the work phone on my belt so that didn't happen. That is a good looking mount and I understand the falling off of the magnet ones when going over bumps. That would drive me insane.
Maybe when I retire.Make sense. I was thinking international spy![]()
I've always mounted my phones so I can see the Google Maps clearly without having to take my eyes off the road.I am curious why folks mount their phones. I put mine on the cradle on the console and it connects with a wireless dongle and everything is on the trucks screen. What is the advantage of mounting the phone?

I did mine very similar to yours, but with a less expensive Wireless charging mount. The cubby insert is the key to it all.ProClip phone mount ($117) mounted on a cubby universal mounting block bought on Etsy ($30)
If you physically connect your phone to your Maverick, it displays Google Maps on the screen.I've always mounted my phones so I can see the Google Maps clearly without having to take my eyes off the road.
Yeah, I don't really like plugging and unplugging my phone every time I get in/out of the truck. If you physically connect your phone to your Maverick, it displays Google Maps on the screen.
