Replace the spare tyre (if it has one - some Mavs now come with a puncture kit) with a full sized one.

I have had trucks with spray in liners and without. I don't haul gravel, just all kinds of stuff. 5 years down the road, I have scuffed a liner, but the ones without liners have scratches in the paint. Scratches lead to rust. Never enough to damage the bed, but rust nonetheless. Spray in liners will pay dividends when you trade your truck for a new one.
I plan on keeping my vehicle and I don't think a liner adds much market value. The dealer wants to install the bed liner, get your trade AND sell you a new one. I'm saying no to all 3 of those. If I change my mind and want to trade, I will be buying and selling on the used market and/or private party. I'm done with the dealership. However if I did haul gravel, I would get it lined. I'll celebrate 1200 days un-lined tomorrow.

I'm always curious as to what folks are putting in the bed that necessitates a spray-in bed liner. Maybe the dealer was just looking to up-charge?

Clearly, we have a household use-case here and we're not hauling gravel. I do believe the ~$500 I saved on a liner 3 years ago has grown to about $1000. The paint in my bed has yet to complain.
I'm always curious why people feel the need to comment on how others spend their money. Unless you are paying for it it's none of your business why anyone get a spray in bed liner, different wheels, fender flares or anything else.

I sure it,s been said but a good set of jumper cables about 16 foot long just in case jump box doesn’t work.
Your intentions are good, but to be honest cables are a pain and potentially dangerous if you cross the leads. Keep your jumper charged up and it's all one needs.

This is what I'll have on a road trip. Well, actually, I have this all the time because you never know when a road trip might happen.
  1. Battery jump starter
  2. 12V air compressor
  3. Multi tool or large Swiss Army knife
  4. Spare fuses
  5. Alcohol - No, not that kind, the kind to use as sanitizer or cleaner. Mine is in a spray bottle from eyeglass cleaner. The Swiss Army will have a corkscrew which may also be handy.
  6. Two credit cards on different accounts in case one is compromised and has to be frozen.
  7. Cash stashed away somewhere in case of emergency. Mine is in a locking metal case with a cable to attach to something. Also handy if you go to the store and forgot your wallet.
  8. A large heavy duty plastic trash bag for storage AND as a tarp.
  9. A flashlight and a headlamp because sometimes you need both hands.
  10. A pair of latex gloves for messy things and a pair of work gloves.
  11. Bottle of water and some snack.
  12. A folding road map. You just can’t see everything on a GPS screen.
  13. A towel.

I'm printing this out for reference. I have most of these in the truck for just driving around town, but these are a must have if it's a longer trip. Great post from @FordPrefect .

You might want a breaker bar or better tire iron for the tire lug nuts, just in case you need to change a tire. The included tool works well enough, but depending on how strong you are it might not work for you.
I bought this for an earlier vehicle that didn't have one. It works great for the Maverick as well. I have it wrapped up this the rest of the tire equipment behind the seat. At 148 ft. lbs of torque the lug nuts are way beyond gutentight. You need a lot of leverage.

Along those same lines, I also have this behind the seat. You can't get a lower profile creeper except cardboard. This slides easier and doesn't saturate with water if the ground is wet:

I guess you put a lot of pillows and cotton balls in your bed because sliding anything solid or heavy will scratch the shit out of the bed. Whether drop in or spray in, if you actually use your bed, a liner is recommended.

I have one addition. I keep a half inch drive ratchet and a deep well socket that fits the lugs and the scissor jack. You will thank me when you need to use the scissor jack:)

Ford Points Maverick bed mat, yes. Removeable too. Expensive spray-in liner blocking all my treaded holes and drains, no.

There's a lot of shit I don't need that's "recommended". Probably twice my annual spend, in fact. Sheep always follow recommendations, I don't.

I put a fire extinguisher, roadside emergency kit and portable tire inflator under the back seats and got the seat belt cutter/window breaker tool for the side door pocket. Is there anything else I should add before a long road trip?
This is what I've used in the last year that I posted about in another thread:
Flush cutters. $3 tool that makes it a lot easier to cut off or trim zip ties than using wire cutters. Oh, and zip ties. Fuse puller, multimeter, battery terminal wrench, 6-in-1 screwdriver, lug flip socket, breaker bar, bolt/washer/nut assortment, jumper pack/air inflator/power bank combo, gloves, jacket, overpants, headlamp. Out of all the stuff I have on board, all that is what I've used in the last year or so.
It hasn't been said as there is no need for 16 foot jumper cables with a high quality NOCO jump pack.
I'd say not so much high-quality, but whatever one you get needs to have a force-start feature that turns off the battery detection requirement. That will allow batteries to be jumped that are otherwise at too low of a voltage for the jump pack to normally detect.

I have the YaberAuto 8000A partly due to that feature. Not sure if the NOCO does, but it'd surprise me if it doesn't at that price. The air inflator is also handy to top off tires. I wouldn't depend on it to inflate tires after airing down for off roading.

Spray-ins are great if you live in the rust belt and don't have a bed cover. I prefer drop-ins because they are more impact-resistant, easier to sweep clean, and things can easily slide across without getting scratched and scuffed. Drop-ins trap water or condensation underneath, but not so much a problem in the southwest.

I had a BedRug in a previous truck. Basically turns the bed into a trunk, which is great if you mostly transport household goods. I thought it was great so long as you don't get sand on it. I took one trip to the dunes and I think I was vacuuming sand out of it for the rest of the time I had that thing.

Modern batteries give little to no warning of impending failure.
I test the battery once a quarter or so and label it with the CCA and resistance. And I just replace the battery every four years anyway as a maintenance item rather than wait til it dies. I see it as similar to replacing tires at 4/32" tread rather than running to cords and having a blowout before replacing the tires. Also weak batteries can cause all sorts of interesting electrical problems.

I keep a class 3 rain suit in the vehicle. Can roll around all you want regardless of the weather or terrain and not worry about getting whatever you're wearing dirty or wet.

A seat cushion - no need to discover on first long trip the current seat can't get comfy or causes pain.

Along with huge trash bag that a wheel could fit in (for taking for repair in case back seat is easy enough to use), I've cut a cheap shower curtain in 3 parts as chair cover in case clothes get dirty doing that spare replacement.
All those in some flat plastic bag behind rear seat. Along with my cushion.

But you do put a bed mat in. Your post made it seem like you "bare-backed" your bed.
