It's a snugtop in canada its a leer brand. Not cheap though the windowless one is slightly cheaper. It's 200lbs not easy to remove

Small campers and shells are really great and I would buy one for my Mav. Would the smallest Scout camper fit? I am impressed with this Four Wheel pop up camper. Will keep an eye on that. Thanks for this.

Well, I guess that's one aspect of all this time waiting for my Maverick: Lots of time to research and ponder options. I might even get out my welder and extend a topper to the end of the tailgate. It's been about 9 months, who knows how much time I have left. I could fashion a "mid gate" like on the Chevy Avalanche or..............?
I myself have been mentally working on a aluminum bed extender that fold flat against the inside of the tailgate when not in use. As soon as we get a notice that our Granger order is picked we have a ARE DCU cap spec'd out with roof racks and full side doors. We will intall our own window in it and maybe add a wing awning to it. I also have ideas make the bed surface 7ft long with a slide out board and insert panel. To make it a nice sleeping surface. With a wrap around awning and a mosquito net it should be great for camping. Once these things get old enough that they are plentiful on craigslist, I do like the idea of the mid gate for it. Lets not forget that ford offered a builder PDF that indicates a Maverick with no bed for possible outfitting. Could do a extendable camper, a flatbed, or who knows. Imagine that a flat bed with maybe some storage underneath. Then put a 4.5ft long camper box maybe with a pop top on it that contains a 4ft slide out inside it with a skirt and floor. Then you have a truck with good MPG and when you go camping slide on the box and have something as good as any slide in camper.

Yes! That bed has to be extended somehow, perhaps some linear bearings like they do with the sides on those giant RVs. Sliding out 3 feet dosen't seem a stretch. Keep the ideas coming.
