I had to replace my Area 51 after a total loss.
Was able to find what I wanted at a couple dealerships using the ford inventory website and negotiated with multiple dealers within 250 miles on a. 2026 Azure Gray XLT Hybrid with Luxury package.
MSRP $35,635
Negotiated to 32,891. The two local
Dealers were asking $34,535 but eventually matched when it came to the end of truck month.
It’s always funny to when they try to
Force dealer added stuff in the financing room. VIN Etching, Gabriel protection and tell you they can’t do anything about it. Don’t flinch just tell them you don’t want it.
Then they tried to hit me with 6.7% apr, told them no way and they were able to look and get 5.7% which is still high in my opinion but based on research seems ok at this time.
Then they don’t really like it when you won’t buy extended warranty or any other insurance packages.
I guess a lot of people just look at a payment and not what the total cost is going to be.
The dealership model needs to disappear and be more transparent but it never will as long as people just walk in with a payment in their head and don’t look at the actual number they are paying.
2nd Maverick and love that I have a $30k truck and paying under $500 a month/60 mo and people are rolling out in F150’s with $1500/mo notes for 8+ years.
The Maverick is without a doubt the best value in the automatice
