Hello and welcome to MTC. Congratulations on your new Maverick. X2 on sharing pictures of your new Maverick.

On the top, I would highly suggest considering an alternative. I prefer the hard tonneau cover. I had a f150 with a topper. Worst decision I ever made. It was fiberglass and to heavy to remove or put back on by myself. This ristricts the times I needed the height. Second especially in a northern state forget about using the rearview mirror. Just trying to make a suggestion so you can get full use out of your bed.

Whatever you decide attach some pictures and enjoy your new truck.

To each his own, but I agree 100%. Years ago I had a V-10 F250 with a shell and carpet kit....it limited some of my usage. I don't have a hard tonneau cover but an inexpensive but legit soft one for my Lobo and I love it's adaptability. Welcome to the Mav fam and as I have only owned mine about a month, I also enjoy how, believe it or not, some people have never heard of a Maverick. 😮😉

If I lived down south I may have bought a soft tonneau cover. Up here not uncommon to get 8 to 12 inches of snow then rain. Needed something that could handle the weight also able to use a broom or shovel on it. OP didn't put what state he is from thus I mentioned the hard tonneau cover. Besides I féel the hard offers a little more security in case that why the topper.

Welcome!
You may be happy with the bed cap and have solid reasons to get one, but I am on board with a tonneau cover. My father and I had bed caps on a C-10 and a couple of S-10s. We ended up having to take them off to be able to see well and haul anything tall. My Silverado came with a hard roll-up tonneau cover and I learned to appreciate it (until it froze up🙄, but then it was 26 years old).
I ordered my Maverick with a hard trifold and it has been perfect so far.

I know Ford sells caps to match that color, but you should be able to get one cheaper.

Hope you have many happy years with your Maverick!

New(ish ) Maverick owner here! :) Simple not optioned out XL 2. turbo version in black. I say newish cuz I have had the truck for 2 months! It is a "fun little toy"! I promise I will post some pics of what I have "done to it" so far .

Big learning curve for me as it is my first new ( never titled before) vehicle in 40 years! No worthwhile complaints yet... Have to see how it does in the winter. Gas mileage is good, performance of the 2.2 turbo is fantastic!

2 "solly things I kind of want to do..... !) "hockey stick" stripe on it. I think it would look cool. 2) get a mag sign made to go over maverick on the tailgate that says TONKA.... Saw that on a Toyota years ago and I think it would be cute just cuz the truck is little!

I promise pictures in a day or 2 .
