Not my cup of tea, however, to each his own.

I bought a pair of these for another car I own that isn't even a pickup. It's got the paint separation problem, and I thought that I might have some fun with it.

However, I'm not ready to put something like this on my Mav (especially under warranty.)

I smile at the F50 stickers but I don't like "light duty" at all.

The Maverick can take as much weight in the bed as many "full size" trucks can, so I don't like people bashing on the "not a truck" thing. Sure the towing weight is dismal in original hybrids, but I don't like "bashing" on this amazing vehicle.

Reduce decal size by about 20% and get rid of the light duty .......I think the decal is a little too big for the area the way it is now....

But aren't all pickups light duty trucks? That's what they were called back in the day.

As long as your Maverick isn't red...you should be fine. 🖖

Shouldn't the F100 be more like the Ranger?
Well, if we're picking nits, Ranger, for the last several years, has been Ford's compact pickup. Mav should, therefore, be the Ranger. And, before we get into the body-on-frame VS uni body fight, Ranchero was a car with a truck bed - not a truck. Maverick is a truck. Current Ranger is a junior F150, so F100 makes sense. Ford execs just screwed the pooch pulling out the old Maverick name, for whatever reason. And, for whatever reason, we all now drive Maverick TRUCKS. It all don't make a lick of sense, but have car companies ever?

I actually had a F100 Ranger it was a 1970 model. Ranger was a trim level then.
My dad had a 1975 F250 Ranger 4X4 Hiboy....that thing was a beast!

I heard that Ford did a marketing study with the not yet released Maverick pickup. They offered a few different names and 'Maverick' was the most popular.

But yeah, I agree that the auto companies get themselves into a pickle with names sometimes. Don't get me started on 'Lumina' vs. 'Lumina APV', or 'Volt' vs. 'Bolt'. 🙄😖
