Howdy,
Just picked up a AWD hybrid 2025 grey Lariat with the (highly overpriced) black appearance package for which I traded in an Escape because I wanted flat tow capability. I wanted a Maverick when I bought the Escape, but they were brand new and availability was sooooo limited.
As my Escape had manual controls in addition to the Sync 3, the getting used to doing almost everything through the touchscreen is a bit cumbersome (and, frankly, kinda dangerous). I thought Ford learned their lesson when they first added Sync (2?) to the Edge and took away all of the physical controls, only to put them back after the protests. Ironically, while they left a physical volume control, they violated 80 years of prior design and put it on the right side of the radio instead of the historical left. Oh well. Lots to learn here.
