Goal is to let the gas engine shut off more. Brake earlier and slower. Accelerate regular (or even hard) then let off the gas to "coast" in electric mode (up to about 45mph).

I keep soft footing mine to ghost along in electric or regen, then remind myself, "Hey dumbass, this is the running in tank, give it like 66.3296324% of the beans"

Yeah...give it some time. Funny thing...my first tank on my 24 Hybrid I got 600+ miles out of it.....Driving cool, driving slow...Because it was a new experience. But since then, yeah...I get High 500s for a tank. If I don't finish a tank with my MPG at 44-46....I'm driving like shit. I consistently get 45 MPG doing 70-80 on my morning commute..and about 45 mph on the way home. Same distance both ways. 26 miles one way. Just do the more relaxed easy drive on the way home. Morning I'm in Eco mode, afternoon I'm in Slippery.

So I've only had my 2025 FWD Hybrid XLT for about 2 weeks and right at 500 miles. Im only getting 31 mpg no where near the stated MPG it sould be getting or what others have posted about on here. I do live in Florida and it is hot but not sure it should affect it that much. All miles have been around town, no long road trips most time in the car so far at one time is about an hour. I keep it in Normal mode and i dont have a lead foot. So is it my truck? Does it need more break in time? Or am I just overthinking it?

I live in Tallahassee, Florida. It gets HOT here. I'm not sure about your situation. . But I got around 30 mpg the 2nd day with 75 mpg highway driving and in the high 30s around town. I drive approximately 600 miles weekly, so my break in was quick. I don't drive like a mad man . But I don't baby it either. I do sometimes use the EV and brake coach just to see how I can drive close to the sweet spot. But In the city I do keep up with the flow of traffic. I easily get 40 mpg and more in city driving. And I currently get around 32 or so with primarily highway driving at 70-75 mpg. I think it needs to get a couple of thousand miles before you get maximum MPG. Don't drive like a mad an. But You shouldn't need to baby it to get good mpg.

My 2025 Hybrid AWD just turned 3000k miles.
Probably no one else on the planet has got that many miles on a 2025 as that :)
3 million miles in under a year. That is likely over 1000 miles/day.

You might have the highest mileage 2025!
It accrues fast! 100+ miles daily commute and the Maverick has now replaced my old F150 for all the towing and hauling I do. It didn't make sense to keep two trucks around for light-to-heavy work so I was glad Ford gave the hybrid the 4K option.
