Will the order still show up in Ford's system if it has already been delivered? If not, it could be that the truck was already delivered and then sold to someone else.

Go stand in front of your sales person and demand answers. Have print outs of all documents you were sent to date and that you signed to date when you ordered. The dealer definitely screwed something up and are now in CYA mode. Shame them on this Forum publicly and send them snaps of the posts with their name in the headline. Oh, and email Farley, if he really exists.

I called the Ford Marketing number this time. They couldn’t find my order either. They asked for me to request the latest order code from the dealer and call them back. I explained that the dealer had said my order was cancelled because it’s a hybrid which is incorrect. I’ve called and texted my dealer, waiting on a better response than place a new order when the order bank opens up again.

I plan to visit the dealer Saturday if no resolution. I can’t before then due to work.

Sorry that didn't work. I'm at a loss to explain how they could have emailed a confirmation to you without there being an order in the records, or at least a history of a previous order.

Well you are just weird. I like Beavis and Butthead and weirdness but I’m poking for help to try to figure this out. My truck gets 12 mpg and I drive 82 miles to work and back round trip. I can’t keep spending that kind of money on gas. I need this Maverick for financial reasons. If gas prices were what they were I would prefer my 95 z-71 truck. I actually like it.

It will take about three years with current fuel prices to break even with the purchase.

Maybe abandon ford, get a small fuel efficient car for work and keep current pickup?

In any case, might as well walk away from the maverick it looks like

Edit, actually will take longer i figured for an xl base

Something is fishy, How the hell did you get any correspondence from Ford, if there was no order? Did you get the "sorry for your wait, we will send you some FITS junk for your trouble" email. If you did that order was solid as a rock. If not your dealer may have screwed up.

I never got an email telling me they would send me that, but my truck is on the way to the dealer!

NO valid orders have been cancelled by FORD.


Dealer claimed hybrids are cancelled but did not provide proof. Ford Corporate said hybrids are not cancelled. It’s all weird.

Tried again with the dealer. They now say they received no cancellation email or other from Ford but the order is just gone. I asked them to talk to the region manager etc but dealer said that doing that is a waste of time. All they can do they say is put in an order when the my23 opens and mention I ordered Oct 21 in notes. Dealer says orders are commonly canceled without explanation but that this one is odd to them too in that it just disappeared rather than cancelled. Ughhh.

That dealer is so full of it. They have screwed something up somewhere. What suks is there is no one to go to for answers.
Lord, please put some good competition out there so we don’t have to deal with Ford.

Sounds like the dealer dropped the ball big time. Who have you been dealing with at the dealership recently? My guess is the sales folks realize they messed up and are afraid to raise this issue to the GM. Perhaps try speaking with/emailing the GM. Or post on their social media sites inquiring about the status of your "cancelled" order.

This really is a sad story. Everyone makes mistakes.

Good people admit it, apologize and try to make it right.

Maybe the GM could make it right by offering to get your order placed ASAP on August 15 for a 2023. Even if your Maverick was scheduled right now, I don't think you'd see it til like September or something? Try setting up an appt with him/her and ask real nice?
