Reserving with one dealer, but ordering with another does not impact anything. I did the same thing as you because my original dealer wanted 2k mark up just to put in the order. So I tried Ford again. I worked with them until it became 8pm and they said it was closing time. They said call back tomorrow and they will try again but that I would get someone new and have to start all over again. They said all they could tell me is to place a new order when MY23 opens up. They could not find where they had sent emails to me ever. They said I couldn’t forward the order confirmation I have from ford to them. They said they see no emails to me and no ROVP or anything. One thing that we discussed that could have happened is I reserved (made the online reservation) with one dealer but they wouldn’t do my x plan so I had to order from another (current) dealer who would. I asked the new dealer if the could roll my reservation to the new dealer or if I needed to make a new one. They said no problem they would take care of it. Honestly the order banks were still open and it really didn’t seem like a reservation did anything or was necessary. I placed my order and got confirmation from Ford which that apparently no longer have. Maybe my 1st dealer finally cancelled the reservation and it deleted my only order which was with another dealer? That’s a stretch but I don’t know how it all works. Still ford accepted the order and it was good when I called for 7+ months. I feel like I’m in the twilight zone. It’s looking like there is nothing I can do. I’m screwed but Ford and the dealer could care less.
Thanks for the info. I’m near giving up. Trying to keep on keeping on but no interest in helping from Ford or the Dealer.Reserving with one dealer, but ordering with another does not impact anything. I did the same thing as you because my original dealer wanted 2k mark up just to put in the order.
Ask "real nice"? I can't stand people who kiss up.This really is a sad story. Everyone makes mistakes.
Good people admit it, apologize and try to make it right.
Maybe the GM could make it right by offering to get your order placed ASAP on August 15 for a 2023. Even if your Maverick was scheduled right now, I don't think you'd see it til like September or something? Try setting up an appt with him/her and ask real nice?
Your situation really sucks and the indifference displayed by ford and especially the dealer infuriates me. It boils down to someone or something out of your control effed up. No type of effort to make things remotely close to right other than to tell you to get back in line for the MY23? Nahh man, that crap doesn't fly even in beginner's level customer service school. Thanks for the info. I’m near giving up. Trying to keep on keeping on but no interest in helping from Ford or the Dealer.
You didn't see the constraints items list? Emails are on that list. What are these mythical Ford emails you are referring to. I ordered a base level Maverick in December. They have not sent me one email. Ford is terrrible at making Mavericks but they are even worse at making Emails.
This member experienced exactly what I was thinking happened to you.Tried Ford again today. Same old song and dance. No progress. They want to put the work back on my dealer. My dealer isn’t motivated to figure it out which makes me wonder if they know something. Again per ford, my order was not cancelled. It’s as if it never existed. They don’t care to see the the confirmation emails I received from Ford.
MST3K!!! (off topic)Maybe someone already asked this, but when you changed the color a few weeks ago did you get any kind of record information about that? I'm assuming an order had to exist in the first place for the dealer to request a change to it. Or is that when the dealer told you that there was no record of the original order?
I also agree with others that said you should use your emails from Ford as proof that you exist in their system. They can look you up by name. They outsource some of their support so please don't take the last person's word as final, call them back and speak to someone else. I'm assuming you called Ford Marketing's Maverick Team at 1-800-334-4375. If you didn't, then try that number.
