Thank you for the compliment.First, good looking truck. I like the attention to detail. Lastly, As a fellow Tremor owner and engineer, I would caution you against using the crash bar (cattle guard, roo bar, etc ) to push anything. Please do not think it will make you any less vulnerable in a crash because...
Those tow hooks were designed to be pulled on, not pushed. It won't take any greater pressure than the bumper (The actual bumper and not the bumper cover that most people think is the bumper)
It's a unibody truck. Hitting anything substantial (another car, dead tree, ground on a steep incline) at more than 20mph or so is going to total your truck. Even if you put a solid bar from each mount to the cab, it would warp the cab at anything over 20mph-ish.
Otherwise, visually speaking and proper light mounting, nice work.
I see your other post pertaining to the build of the bumper! Thanks for all the informationLooks really awesome!! How does it mount up? looks like its maybe the tow hook mount location.
Also is this a special built bumper or this available somewhere for purchase?
Thanks for sharing your build!
Thank you.Looks really nice. Cleanest push bar I have seen.
Not sure about a killing, as this would only fit FX4 and Tremors, since they have the tow hooks. The bar looks great. Tell your shop they could make a killing selling them.
Looks great may be the only maverick with bull guard that I have seenFront light bar completed. Had a local Hot Rod/Fab shop build this. Definitely not just a hour job. And for sure not an Amazon piece. Came out exactly like I wanted. Powdered coated to match body paint. It is bolted to the tow hook mounting. Very solid. So I can remove if necessary.
I used KC lights and had my local graphic guy change the “yellow” on the covers to match the Blue he had done on it earlier.
I asked my Fab shop, they will do another one, but truck will need to be at thier shop. And to have the OEM tow mounts.
Heading back next month for a matching chase rack.
I’ll post pics when that is completed…
