This is my last post, sold my Maverick. here's the story.
I loved my Maverick. It was paid off, and I was going to keep it for 10 years or more. Just right for me.
But, the car my daughter drives had a catastrophic failure. We reconfigured the entire family fleet of 4. I fixed the old chevy, and traded it in on the new car my oldest daughter was buying. She is now "off the payroll". I sold my wife's car and got my youngest daughter a newer used car, and paid off the repair bill. I traded my Maverick for a new car for my wife (even got a check for $1,000 back). All I have to do is drive the other old chevy my oldest daughter was driving; just for a few months or a year or so until we recover from all this.
The good news is I did not have to take out a loan (other than the new one my daughter was planning to get anyway) or dig into savings. All I gotta do is drive the old one for a while and the family has good reliable transportation.
Here's the numbers on the Maverick:
2022 Maverick Lariat, AWD. Purchased in March 2022. Sold last week. Paid $34,534, received $33,500 trade in. So, I basically "rented" it for 18 months for about $150 per month if you throw in insurance and interest while I was paying the loan.
Since I am no longer a Maverick owner, I won't be on this forum any longer. Unless...
