All interesting. I once took MiL car to car wash. After the wash, car being wiped down, a worker walked up to me to hand me the front license plate. Rip off the car.

In the past I took my F250 to same car wash. It’s wipers flew around, one became dislodge, moved.

It was difficult for me to wash that F250, it bring so tall. With this lower height Maverick, easier to wash myself, with a telescopic wash boom/pad.

The high velocity air blower / dryer at an automated car wash inverted my hood!
Hood went from generally convex to generally concave under the air pressure from the blower.
It did "pop back" but this can't be good for the paint.
Anyone else ever see this?
Man the hood must be thin!

That is a great idea!
I swear I saw something around my area that when you drove the car over it, it turned on a sprayer, but I can’t seem to find it anywhere.
my son and I converted one of those floor sweepers several years back for his use, should have patented it lol.
it is a hassle in the winter.

I was in an automatic car wash once and the person in front of me hit their brakes and the roller went under their wheel. Pushed me right into the back of them. I don’t think anyone was right behind me, so I didn’t get rear ended too. The speed was so slow that there wasn’t any noticeable damage, but the car that I was pushed into the back of drove off.

I used to do the car wash but with my hose next to the driveway it takes 45 minutes to wash all 3 cars, towel off, and do tire shine. It’s therapeutic.

Man I wish our local no-touch car wash had blowers that strong. The ones at ours barely blow the water off and you have to hand dry afterwards to avoid water spots.

You guys find the weirdest things to worry about.
No shit. I've owned 7 Corvettes since 2008, including 2 C8s, I take mine through auto car washes 2-3 times a WEEK ( i have an unlimited plan) never had an issue. Not once. People freak out all the time when I tell them this. I also take my Mav through about once a week. I do only use the touchless option, but I cannot believe how many people swear their car is going to melt or fall apart or explode by simply using a car wash. We drive these things through hail and rain and snow and heavy winds, but you think it can't handle a touchless car wash?

Trust me your baby will be okay.

I'll stick to the bucket / sponge and a hose. Not so much for the therapeutic aspect, but you find all the little dings and issues that need addressed that way.

I've been using an unlimited monthly mechanical car wash with blowers since my Maverick was new and have not had any issues yet, It seems to do a good job and uses softened water as our water is chocked full of minerals, I do use their provided drying towels as it never gets as dry as I would like without the additional wipe down.
