My First Ford Ever!

Off-the-lot purchase of a 2023 Maverick XLT in Alto Blue with FWD and 2.0 Ecoboost, Lux package, and CoPilot360. 2 weeks old and now with 680 miles. Carbonized Gray tailgate letters (TUFSKINZ) which perfectly match wheel color. OEM all weather floormats on order. Aftermarket SIBL next week by LineX. I will post photos when the SIBL is finished.

My first Ford vehicle ever, but my 8th pick-up. Coming from mostly small pick-ups (Dodge RAM50, Nissan Hardbody and Frontier, Chevy S10, GMC Sonoma and Canyon) I find this one to be a perfect size and fit for my "over 60" retirement lifestyle. I once had a Titan, it was just way too big.

FYI. Thought I had the dreaded dashboard rattle. Found the passenger sunvisor clip very loose and re-installed/tightened it. The horrible "over-bumps" rattle went away. Dashboard is otherwise quiet.

Mike, glad you are here. The more you drive the Maverick, the more you will come to love it. Even though they did not come out until 2022, we are on our 4th. Had an XLT Ecoboost that I drove almost a year and sold it for a profit when my 23 Liariat Hybrid came in. Loved the truck, but did not need the off-road stuff. My wife then got an XLT Hybrid and drove it several months while waiting for her 23 Lariat Hybrid to be built. She traded it in for $5K more than the MSRP. My Lariat now has 15K on it (Alto Blue by the way and love the color) and her Lariat has about 6K. ZERO issues and just a fantastic truck for us "advanced middle age" folks. We are both in our 70's.

Welcome, enjoy! Also you are going to enjoy the unicorn of the 2.0 2wd. An easy right foot could probably get you north of 35 mpg. I got 31 on highway in a Tremor with a tall topper.
