I've had my hybrid XL, same color as yours, for almost a year now and 17,000 mi. I've had zero problems so far except for a few annoyances. Nothing I've had to take it back to the dealer for, other than software updates.

My previous vehicle was a Subaru Impreza. Even the worst mileage I've gotten in the Maverick well exceeds the best mpg I ever got in the Impreza. MPG will drop very slightly using the air and in my case, even more on short trips when using the heater. The heater gets its heat by running the gasoline engine. The AC is electric and uses the high voltage battery. It, too, uses the gasoline engine to recharge the HV battery, but it also can charge when slowing down, coasting or going down hills.
