It looks like the headliner needs to be adjusted.
That’s what the dealership told me and it didn’t work. Even after the new one was installed under warranty it only extends under the rubber seal about 3/8”. Our 19 F-150 XL and 19 Escape have at least 1/2” or more material under the trim.
I really hope it’s not a cheap material issue because if so I fear it’s going to shrink again.
Maybe borrowing a “blue pill” from the neighbor and toss it in the gas tank might help avoid this happening again 🤔

The fabric is pulling away from the support post. Nothing ever touches this area. I hope my bumper to bumper warranty covers this

I had my entire headliner replaced because of this. Just make sure if you have a moon roof that they order a new cover for that at the same time so the colors match.

Similar issues ongoing after the Airbag recall - I posted awhile back if they just would come out with a slightly larger door frame gasket set that would provide more coverage the issue could be solved.

Mine started doing it immediately after the airbag recall a couple of years ago. It hasn't gotten any worse but it does bother me.

Look for 3M headliner adhesive. I had to use it on another vehicle after a window tech ripped the headliner in another car. Watch a video of use on YouTube. You have to follow the directions closely.

Many dealerships are replacing headliners under Warranty.
Why would you try and fix a headliner problem yourself especially when the headliner is too small?

So, I finally am taking my Mav in for the headliner replacement, sounds like it only ones with sun roofs?? Apparently they need to do the side air bags as well, fine with me. My question is how long did any of you have to wait for the repair and hows it holding up?

So, over a month later, still not ready. Telling me they are having a hard time getting the new head liner to fit properly???

Well I got my truck back, but the dealer couldnt get the driver side of the head liner to tuck away at the windshield pillar? They said they will be in contact with Ford as what to do??? Anyone else have issues like this?
