Hi-just joined the forum. We got our 2022 Maverick XLT a couple of months ago. We later added a drop-in bedliner and soft tonneau cover. We live in a remote part of Texas so the nearest Ford dealer that could install them is more than 2 hours away. I noticed yesterday that the front of the bedliner has pulled away from the frame of the cab. It seems it was held in place by a thin piece of black tape? I tried pressing it back in place but there is very little adhesion left. We don't want to make the 4 hour round trip back to the dealer for repairs. I'm wondering if I could us self-tapping sheet metal screws to secure the piece to the cab? If so, would stainless steel screws be the right choice. Thanks. And we love our new truck.

What brand drop in cover is it? Who instalked it? I would not screw it in place. The vibration would crack the plastic at the screws. Plus you would be inviting moisture to seep into the cab from those new holes.
I would contact the mfg and the installer something was not preformed right during install.

Same thing happened when I installed my drop in liner. I removed the old adhesive and used 3m vhb heavy duty tape and added a bit more in the center. I also used a ratcheting cargo bar with a board to apply pressure overnight to make sure it adhered fully.

Tim-it's the Ford drop-in bedliner, installed by a Ford dealer. Again, since we're a 4 hour round trip away from the dealership, we'd like to avoid making the trip again. But we may have to. Thanks.

We have had one of those installed at our dealership do the same thing. They removed the old tape, cleaned, and applied more tape.
