Oddly, Carvana did not even want to give me MSRP for my Lariat Ecoboost

I plan on trading in whenever one of my orders shows up. Last Carvana offer was $33,572 . I paid about 27k OTD with Tax + Tags, XL Eco AWD with 4k

I just decided to see what Carvana would offer for my truck.

I have the Hybrid XL
360
Ford Roll Up Tonneau Cover
Added Ford Bronco Wheels,
Mud Flaps
Rubber Bed Liner
Tailgate Assist
Extended 8 year 100,000 miles Warranty

With the add ons and extended warranty, I probably would break even.

There is no way I will be selling my truck. I was just curious. This is one great truck for the value. It runs well, gets great mileage, comfortable, the style is great, and fits my needs.

crazy, isn't it. I had a 3+ year old 2019 chevy spark and CarMax paid me 16.7k for it. Mav's are on top of the market right now. So, if you don't absolutely love your Mav go for it. That crazy pricing won't last forever and you can put the money down on a 2023. Don't forget though, you will have to file the profit as capital gains for the year. This usually means you pay about whatever tax rate your currently pay for your taxes on the profit.

Depends on where you live too. Here in California, prices will be higher due to a higher demand for Hybrids. Pretty good offer, you could probably remove half those accessories and the offer will be the same.

Ford sent me an email showing my truck was in the system June 23. Dealer has been useless since. Last I heard from him was several months ago when he said chances are I would get bumped to MY 2023. It is a fairly well loaded Lariat hybrid in Cactus Grey that we agreed on $35,000 out the door, including tax, fees, etc. This is under MSRP. When I was told I probably would not receive the truck for MY2022, I bought my second Ridgeline and could not be happier.

The dealer wants me to walk so he can sell it off the lot for a lot more but if the market is still strong for this truck when I get it, if I ever do, I will flip it. If the market is not strong, I will walk. There is a lot of things to put a damper on this such as dealer not honoring our deal when the truck arrives but since I don't want it anyway, I will just walk away (there was no deposit). But if they do honor it I will walk in, hand them a check for the full amount and put the truck in my garage. I will try to sell it with less than 100 miles on it for around $40,000, maybe more. It will have less than 100 miles on it so someone will still get a good deal, if the market is then as it is now. Ford said I am scheduled for a June 13 build and gave me a VIN. So, if this all happens I am in a no lose situation since I don't want the truck anyway and I am sure I can sell it easy peasy for a little profit.

That actually sounds high. But then again, if it has taxes already on it, maybe thats it. In MO we pay our taxes later directly to the state.

I’m paying a little over 21K for the same vehicle? Did you really get jacked for the extended warranty??

No. I bought it from Varsity Ford. It’s for 8 years 100000 miles. There pricing is the best out there. The Ford F-150 I bought in 1997 is still on the road. I hope this truck lasts a long time.

I wonder if you put the same offer in another day, would the price change? I think not. They have the price quoted to you in their system.
The offer will absolutely update even daily. As I was getting closer to selling my wife's 2018 fiat 500 Carvana's offer went up almost $2k over a 2 week period, even when I was within the last offer's window.

Also, if You were actually planning to trade in - you'd want to end the warranty and get the residual value (which at this point would be almost the entire amount) back to you. They aren't offering any more $ for having an extended warranty on your trade-in. That tonneau would also come off, you'll probably be able to get $7-800 easily for it (and the other stuff if you want to spend some time moving it, I'm sure people would buy it all here on the forum).

Yes - it seems that without having auction/sales history, they are simply offering basically the same amount regardless of trim/options. My offers have been below what I paid for my decked out XLT. Current offer is laughingly $28K.

Funny enough, the 2015 fiat Abarth cabrio we picked up to replace my wife's non-abarth/non-cabrio is worth $16K from Carvana ($2K more than what we paid in February).

People are starting to see $$$(Dollar Signs) for their Mavericks. It's not that easy to sell it to a private party. They need to find financing, wonder why your selling it, and if they have to pay what a dealer would ask, they would rather have a dealer to deal with. Carvana gives you quick cash, more then a dealer will offer you. But why sell now. Keep the truck for a year or two, you may get close to what you paid on a trade for a new better optioned Maverick (Hybrid 4X4) and meanwhile you'll still be a member in our GREATEST forum on the internet!

I was offered between 31,900 to 33K for my XLT Hybrid. I'm wondering how much we could get for our trucks if we sold them ourselves?

A BASE Maverick XL Hybrid costs $21,490 so with you adding on the same options as the OP:

Co-Pilot360 for $540
Ford Roll Up Tonneau Cover $1160
Added Ford Bronco Wheels at least $300
Mud Flaps for $180
Rubber Bed Liner $140
Tailgate Assist $50

Adding all those prices gets the total to $23,860 which is not near your "I’m paying a little over 21K for the same vehicle?" price. Add in TT&L and the price is over $25K.

Now I will give you that the OP is either missing some other costs (ADM Markup) or as you state he is getting hosed on the extended warranty.
