I haven't been on here for a while, but I've had such great engagement and responses from the enthusiasts here from when I first got my Maverick back in Dec 2021. My lease ended, and I bought it out just a few months ago, and I'm just now having some issues. It's got about 115,000 km on it.

  1. My drivers door power window stopped working. It's up now fortunately, but when I hid the down button, it moves for about 1/4", and just stops. I can put it back up, but that's it.
  2. My power door locks have stopped working altogether. I can't lock my truck anymore. I can manually push the lock "tabs", but they're stiff, as though something is preventing them from being moved with a satisfying click. The button to activate thelock in door the truck is unresponsive on both doors. The key fob seems to make the truck "sound" like it's activating the door locks, and the horn sounds, but the doors remain unlocked.
  3. The radio volume is posessed. Sometimes it's normal, but other times it's about 50% volume. So I need to crank it up to hear anything, then suddently when I open the door, or attempt a window opening, the volume resets blowing my eardrums. Super annoying.
  4. My passenger "Restraints Indicator Lamp Warning" is lit. Not sure why?
Any thoughts from the geniouses in this community? I love my Maverick, but am feeling bummed as it's no longer under any warranty.

I'm no genius lol ? Did you check the fuse for the door locks? The simplest thing to do is disconnect the battery for about 15 minutes and reconnect it and see if everything go's back to default settings.. Do you have a scan tester to see if there are some pending module codes stored? This is just a guess at this point. I really don't know what you checked so far. Sounds like you will have to take it to the dealer. There is a post about rodents chewing wires on these Mavericks maybe you should inspect the wiring too.

Other than what's already been mentioned with checking fuses and stored fault codes, if it's not anything obvious there, pay the money to take the vehicle in to the most experienced mechanic you can find that can actually diagnose electrical issues. Not the cheapest, not the quickest, not the closest. You will likely go insane and end up spending more on an incorrect diagnosis; it's not easy work on modern vehicles that have bundles of harnesses going to hundreds of different modules.

Check the ground strap first.

It will sound simplistic but I have had problems with batteries every two years like clockwork. Once the battery is replaced glitches seem to disappear. I suspect it is a low voltage issue causing computers to malfunction. My symptoms included right door lock sensor and an intermittent black display.

Hello from just south of the Perimeter Highway.

Good advice noted above, try the simplest first. Test your battery to ensure it is good...lost of weird stuff happens if weak 12 volt as noted above. I have read here, not experienced.

Try the disconnect the battery move, read your truck manual on this to ensure you do that correctly-really make sure!

If it is an old battery, test it but it might be a good idea to replace it with the appropriate AGM battery...read manual on replacement, fully charge it first, BMS reset and relearn (many threads and posts here on that) as it need to know the battery is new.

Lots of threads here on all these topics, answers may lie in the related threads below these posts.

I hope it is simply the battery and please let us know, for all of our edification and knowing your fix.

Have a great one, eh.

Oh, If the simple stuff doesn't work, take it in to have the electrical demons exercised....err...exorcised...just get them out! I support that.
