I haven't been on here for a while, but I've had such great engagement and responses from the enthusiasts here from when I first got my Maverick back in Dec 2021. My lease ended, and I bought it out just a few months ago, and I'm just now having some issues. It's got about 115,000 km on it.

FWD on a slimy slippery ramp is nowhere near as good as AWD. With the weight on the back, the front tires lose traction. That along with wet/slimy/loose grave etc, makes it more of a challenge for any vehicle to pull out a boat/trailer.
I recall launching a 19' bowrider with my old Dodge...
I'd estimate that the boat/trailer/cargo/fuel etc is around 3300 lbs.
Also worked will with my buddy's 23' pontoon, These types of pontoons are generally 110 lbs per foot and the trailer is about 1000 lbs. Also, truck was empty, so total is well under the 4k pound limit, even after filling it...
This was my previous ride before the #fordmaverick. Fuel savings alone almost worth the price. Loved the #nissan #pathfinder after having it for a decade but it was time to move on.
Had my Maverick since Dec 2021, 32,000 km so far, and it's been great! Here I am doing some ice fishing a few...
I posted this on the Maverick subreddit earlier this week, but thought you may enjoy this too. It's what I did with my Maverick today (well... a couple days ago.)
I finally did my bed LED strip light upgrade. Love it!
Here I am picking up a 10' PVC pipe for a makeshift snowboard jibbing rail. You can see the lights in this pic a bit.
I find that there's virtually no hype whatsoever on this truck. Almost everyone I've spoken to regarding my truck have never heard of it before.
It's not like Ford wants to have long lead times on orders. They're producing as fast as they are able to considering the constraints that they and...
Lol! Yup, been camping here for 12 seasons. Bumped a few times, but no really big damage (yet). This pontoon belongs to a friend of mine, who needed it launched that day, and didn't have his truck with him. I tow and launch my 18' bowrider without issue with my Mav XL w/ 4k tow package and AWD...
I didn't have any highway speeds to go on this particular trip, so can't comment on the bimini top wind resistance. If I were to go on the highway, I'd for sure stow it away properly.
