When building your Maverick, what do/did you feel are the must haves and why?

Trying to get some ideas to determine what would be best to add. Leaning towards the XLT trim with AWD, trailer package, and 360.

You'll get a really wide variety of answers here since everyone's situation differs.
I planned on my Maverick as a daily commuter and didn't anticipate needing it for a lot of "truck stuff". So Lariat lux package was a must (I like nice things). Tonneau cover and spray-in bedliner came with First Edition but I would have probably ordered those as separate add-ons if not. I can't think of many other accessories offered when building as must-haves. Though if you live in an area that gets a lot of rain/snow, it seems like mudguards are a really good idea.
If there are still a lot of contraints (most likely will be), you'll have to really ponder what things are most important and how quickly you'd like to have your truck built.

Yes, its really an individual decision. I live in PA and work from home so 4WD not that important because I can stay inside when it snows and Front Wheel Drive is fine once the roads are plowed. I do like heated seats so I had to get the Lux package and I just turned 60 and keep cars a long time so I got the CP360 for the safety. The Hybrid was fine for me but like many others have been waiting a long time to get it. In retrospect I should have ordered an base XL Hybrid and add my own heated seats and do the bedliner myself and find some wheels. Seems like the XL is the one to get if you like to do mods.

Mine had to be a hybrid, as I am flat towing it behind my RV. Other options did not really matter. I would have liked to have co pilot though for when my kids drive it.

Mine is adaptive cruise. Unfortunately you need lariat lux for this. Maybe it will be changed for 23. Also need to be able to tow my boat so 4k also which needs awd ecoboost. I only have to tow it twice a year to the launch ramp a quater mile away. So maybe I could dump the 4k but does limit me if I decide to take it somewhere else. Or beg someone else to launch the boat.

Next vehicle musts (was not Maverick specific but applied as I started my build plan)

-AWD - Living in Houston area when it rains roads flood and want the traction on we roads.
-Adaptive Cruise Controls - Houston traffic on daily commute... A must
-Keyless - Have it now and like not messing with digging out my keys.
-Auto Climate - didn't care for zones.

I am coming from an Edge Titanium, so at least a reasonable approximation to amenities was wanted. Haven't ordered yet but the above means that unless things change radically in '23 I'm ordering EB Lariat Lux FX4. Copilot 360 because it's cheap for the added safety and features as well.

XLT Lux package. Thats it. Undecided on Hybrid or EB, but most likely the EB as the 2.9% is too hard to pass up right now.

Lots of great options you are all posting.

As far as adaptive cruise control, we have that in our Highlander. IMO, it has its pros and cons. Pros are obviously slowing down behind someone, but the big con is it slowing down too quickly due to various reasons.

Cruise, trailer hitch, hybrid, decent sound system, 110v bed outlet,

Moonroof and sliding back window. I love convertibles. This is as close as I can get with the Maverick. If they cancel the moonroof for MY23 I would skip the MY23 order.

Well, it was going to be XLT Hybrid, LUX package, and 360. But to get the car sooner it will be a XLT hybrid with a tow hitch. I currently drive a base model 2009 Honda Fit so just about any of the Mavericks will be an upgrade. I'll add a spray-in bed liner and dash camera later.

Hybrid because I intend to tow it behind the motorhome.
Lariat, just because
Lux, well why not...........

Would love a hybrid with tow package. Or a hybrid with AWD.
